Also, I'm not worried about simple grammer mistakes just yet. I'd rather get the story down first so I don't lose it then go back and edit the spelling and grammer. -
Sep 9, 2009Sir Auron25 posted a message on Red White Control-can zendikar make the spanish inquisition a better deckI have to agree with you. Spanish Inquisition, first off, is a great deck that is amazingly good if you know how to play it. I play it myself, and honestly, out of all the decks I have to try to salvage for post rotation, this one I'm the most confidant about.Posted in: legacy dude 345 Blog

Jun 21, 2009Sir Auron25 posted a message on [fnm Report] T2 - 6/19/09It works if you play smart and don't overextend. The Critters don't need to stay around long. Once I gain board control (usually after a sweeper or flashing Cliques to block and kill threats), I am usually set to go. I also hit with Cruel to hit hard and start picking them off with my little critters. Banefire's help finish the job too. If I find my creatures blocking and dying too quickly, I side in Soul Manipulation.Posted in: Sir Auron25's Farplane
This was brought to my attention Friday Night. Apparently, this deck is remarkably similar to a deck that won something in Germany or something. I'm currently looking for the list. -

Yup thats it!
Seriously though, it has more to do with me rarely visiting forums anymore. Too focused on the real world anymore i suppose.
I'm not sure if I am or not. I thought about Dimir, since I'm sure they'll welcome an expert on black mana, or possibly the EDH clan. But I'm not entirely sure. I'm starting to think my time always being around MTGS is coming to an end. I'll have to think about it.
Considering we are dying off here, I'm going to go with no...
Yeah, I would have taken the Stoneforge. Whats the worse he could have taken. Liliana, Pox, or Hymn. Still plenty of disruption that would be left untouched. Stoneforge becomes a threat almost immediately.
Extinguish All Hope has some sick art. Definitely going to find some home in my EDH decks.

Another take on this I'd like to throw out there, we could have each clan choose a card that represents their clan. Any card. Then, we could have a "Last Card Standing" like we did a few years ago. The criteria for each round is random questions, like "Which card would most likely be missing after a night of clubbing" or "Who's the first to lose in a straight up brawl", ect. They can be completely random and fun. Each clan then decides and the card with the most votes is out.
After that, we could do a second contest. Each clan takes their card from the previous round and builds a deck (any format or the format could be decided upon ahead of time) based on that card. The clans then vote based on criteria listed above, and add some criteria based on how well that card represents their clan.
I'll be needing a Clan rep title too.
I'm not even sure that would do it at this point. I mean, look at Jund's card pool. GB is immensely powerful even without Goyf. If they wanted to hit something hard, it would have to be a big utility card, like Liliana or Bob. An attacker can be easily enough replaced.
Hello, and wecome to CMB. I like the list. Alot. Seems solid. I'll add you to the list. The way our system works is you need to acquire so many posts in the clan before you are a true member and get a title. Pretty much, you get to be a member and reap the benefits, but you have to be active to get a cool title.
I see in your sig you play Teysa EDH. You'll notice one thing here, and that is I am a massive EDH player. Out of curiosity, which one are you playing. I used to have an Orzhov Scion deck built, but now that my meta has changed and I have a lot of new players in a more mutiplayer format, I am working on a Envoy of Ghosts stax deck.

feastofthedeadFeast of Shadows: I'll change your name. I got to do some cleaning out of inactive members anyways.Actually, when I redownloaded the installer, I moved it outside of the program file directory. That ended up fixing most of the problems i was having. However, I am still having issues with some of the templates, specifically the flip walkers and the sparkers (the renders won't even appear on the side), and the Gods (the renders appear, but text will not show up in the card type/creature type box).
Which installers would have the game update file. I might have to try converting it to a zip.
BITTERBLOSSOM! Unbanned in modern! Tis a great day. I'm building Faeries now. I do love watching my Bitterlossoms jump up even farther in value.
The unbanning of Wild Nactal is a good one too. Gives a couple new decks a chance to play....and I do think they will fit nicely into the current Modern meta. Getting rid of Deathrite Shaman might have seemed too much, but it was popping up a lot. Sacrifices must be made for progress.
EDH bans Sylvan Primordial, which I felt was the right call. Why punish Deadeye Navigator, which was fair and fine until the Primordial was released.
Also, since I have no clue where therestless is. On the new board, I am going to take over as Clan Rep.
I tried redownloading MSE and all of the installers. Still, I have not found a way to fix the problem. A bunch of littler errors all indicate the same thing: that my MSE is out of date. Perhaps I am downloading an old version from the wrong source?
I used to do that too with my non-EDH decks. I used black at first, but all it took was one batch that were bad and looked different, then I stopped using black and went to the Magic back Ultra Pros. Never use anything other than those for constructed. I'd love to use those for all my edh decks so it would be so much easier to pull cards from them in the rare instance I go to FNM or a modern tournament or something, but when you have nearly 20 EDH decks, it gets kind of repetitive and boring....:-/
