I actually think you are missing half the utility of KotR, which is improving your top decking by pulling out lands and fixing the fact that BSAs may be on the bottom of your library from cascades.
Just buy them from an online retailer or eBay if you like them that much. KMC are the best IMO. Ultra Pros have an inconsistent quality...if you buy 2 different packs the back of the sleeves are likely to be a different shade or gloss finish. For example, if you buy a 50 pack of black ultra pros and a 100 pack in the same shade, one might have a dull finish while one is glossy. I had a guy DQed at a tourney for marked sleeves because he had white ones...one part of his deck was solid white, while the other ultra pro white sleeves were almost see-through.
To their credit, I wrote to Ultra Pro about this with a picture, no receipt and an ambiguous time frame and they sent me three packs of sleeves and an apology note. I wouldn't want to be the guy that got DQ'ed, but it was amazing customer service.
Not to get too off-topic here, but why are all of standard's goblins rares? Sure, Ruinblaster and Bushwhacker are good, but after them we are overwhelmed with rares. Goblins will be quite the pricey deck in a couple of months.
Which is why I've bought 24 copies of Instigator while they are ~4 a piece. All goblins needs is another lord or a ringleader and it shoots up. Still don't have to buy lands though.
After so very much playtesting. I'm not convinced that in this meta, one single 10/10 on turn 4 is really worth the setup required. Also, that the fae transformation covers any weaknesses. Someone please prove me wrong.
For sideboard, what do you think about Guardian Seraph for RDW or tokens? It also acts as a flying beater for the deck when it comes in. I don't like Gaddock Teeg because it shuts off Finest Hour and Elspeth, and Time Warp if you're running it.
I'm not sure that the dilution is worth it when it will probably just end of eating a Flame Jav, PtE or Unmake.
Hey everyone, if you're playing Time Warp, do you play Crashers?
Yes, but by then I have generally switched to Jenara/RWM as my beater.
A general game for me is:
1.) Bop/Hier
2.) Mimic + Bop/Hier
3.) Rafik
4.) Jenara, pump at Opp's EOT/RWM
5.) Time Warp/Finest Hour
In the past, I was pretty firm on only 6 mana dorks, but with the usefulness of the 5 cc stuff, I think it has to be 8. I was generally afraid of topdecking a bird, but I've come to appreciate that the deck is more about ramping than drawing. If I just have a threat and a Rafik, the game is mine. I've also won a few games on just two lands and a BoP, mana-wise.
If Bant isn't tier 1 now, I really think that the rotation will push it into that category. I'll miss Mimic, Filters and Pools (don't play Infiltrator), but I don't think it gimps the deck more than most out there now.
Although its all meta-specific, I trampled Jund before FNM and went 4-1, losing only to the combination of kithkin and bad luck.
Best game of the night for me:
Two: I only have 2 birds + Hierarch. Swing for 1.
Three: Drop an Elspeth, swing with a 5/5 BoP.
Four:Finest hour, Elspeth, swing 6, 8. GG.
Also, despite the fact that I have everything for Fae, I must say that this deck is very fun and restored my enjoyment of magic yesterday.
As for Time Warp, try it out if you haven't. If you have any of Rafiq/FH/Elspeth out, it might as well read "You win the game". Heck, just the extra counter on Elspeth is often worth the 5 mana. (Side note: people seem to forget that, at WORST, Time Warp says "Draw a card. Untap all lands you control.")
After 4-1 FNM tonight, I must say: sweet jesus -- this.
I tried it, and well it is just not worth it. If you are afraid of stag Sb the castle ( which would be a bad idea) or run some other awnser. It is just not worth it.
Bant colors are VERY sub-optimal here. Green does absolutely nothing for the strategy, and the lack of Bitterblossom and protection (Duress, Thoughtseize) goes a long way to sink your win condition. In short, the only reason I would splash green is for Behemoth Sledge, and only as a 1-of. This would likely be played off of a vivid land anyway, so it isn't much of a splash to begin with.
I think this is pretty mandatory for any Polymorph build:
4 Polymorph (obvious enough)
2 Progenitus (if you draw into one)
1 Inkwell Leviathan
4 Bitterblossom (impossible strategy to consider without a free token every turn)
4 Cryptic Command (because countering their hate, and bouncing their beater/more hate is good)
4 Thoughtseize
4 Duress
4 Manlands (preferably Mutavault)
X Board Sweeper (preferably 4-6) I'd look long and hard at Infest and Austere Command. Austere Command is randomly amazing, and otherwise solid.
X Targeted removal (preferably 4-6)
X Permission Suite (preferably 4-6)
annnnd Ponder helps.
This strategy really does require the best possible card quality to work, as your opponent will just trash you if you aren't doing the proper things to protect yourself, and your combo.
Quoted for truth. Btw, isn't Mutavault the only manland left?
All his items do. Someone win and ask him to open the package!
Goblins: 0
Wasteland: 0
Contraption: 0 ( )
Land: 71 (Jesus)
Landfall: 16 (Yay!)

Btw: Odd, best one-of -- Might of Oaks

Why not side out Mutavault for GC?
