    Get yourself to a psychologist.
You say your addiction has been "growing rapidly", you're high "all day", and you don't want to do anything else, but then you still insist it's "under control" and you could stop "at any time"? Give me a break. Admitting you have a problem is the first step in fixing it.
As long as you have this problem you're not going to be able to hold down a job, much less a good one. Your request for a job that doesn't require higher education but pays a high level at an entry level position is probably not going to be fulfilled... especially not while you're still an addict.

OP, Collegeboard has a slew of accommodations for people with disabilities. I'd suggest you try to get extra breaks, so that instead of having 1 or 2 breaks in the test, you have a break after every section.
Just go to your school psychologist, let him check you out, and if he thinks you do have trouble concentrating or something, there's a form he fills out and sends to Collegeboard. It's that easy.

The local newspaper recently ran a newspaper of inter-religious couples who were married and I was absolutely disgusted. Inevitably one person (and their families, ie grandparents) have to sacrifice their religious faith and traditions while the grandchildren are raised with the other parents and his or her families religious faith and traditions. I was absolutely disgusted! I am an out and out anti-Globalist and the mixing of religions is included. Protestant Christians should have nothing to do with atheists where religion is involved. In fact, no one of any religious faith should have anything to do with people of other faiths. It is an "us against them" scenario. The fact of the matter is that God has elected some for salvation and the vast majority He has elected for damnation. Passing feelings and emotions (which according to the Bible need to be hammered into submission, we should learn to control ourselves) does not change the Eternal Truths. At the OP: Why risk your eternal salvation to mingle with the pigs who are damned to hell?

For the sake of humanity I hope against hope that you're joking.
This is exactly what's wrong with religion (at least religious extremism).

Well, I admit I'm using psychological in a very broad way. The "psychological evolution" if you will, is more on the side of males. There is no anatomical benefit to larger breasts, but men like them, and that's psychological. So a women with a larger breast size would, in theory, pro-create more, and thus the genetics passed down to their children and so forth. Basically, it's evolution that is directly based on the psychology of the culture they are in. Larger breasts = good for the males in the culture, and thus larger breasts become more prevalent.

It's called sexual selection, and it's the reason why in many (if not most) species, there are a number of physical differences between males and females.
However, your idea that this is "psychological" is not really true. Males prefer mates with larger breasts because larger breasts are a sign of fertility. Breast growth is caused by the release of estrogen during puberty, and estrogen levels also have a correlation with fertility levels. This is similar to why many men prefer women with wide hips (and by association, large asses): part of the trade-off for humans standing on two legs is painful and dangerous childbirth, because the pelvis has turned and become smaller than it is in apes. Thus women with wide hips have better chances of themselves and their babies surviving childbirth.

Though, I do agree that this changes seems rather sudden, and to quick for it to be evolution, but I am arguing along the question as to whether us humans are currently evolving, and I'm arguing that we are.

Humans are absolutely evolving, no question about it. The conditions for when a population is not evolving are given by the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium:
    1) Mating must be random (Nope)
    2) No chance mass death events (No, see hurricanes, etc.)
    3) No gene flow from other populations (No, lots of interracial breeding)
    4) No genetic mutations (Uh, no)
    5) No selection pressures (Arguably, this one may be present because of technology)

There will never be a time when humans are "done" evolving.

Anyways, in regards to the OP, that is way way way too fast for an evolutionary change.
I believe the suspect to be an increased incidence of unfermented soy products in many people's diets. There's a growing body of research that suggests that soy mimics female hormones (estrogen, etc.) in the body, and an increased amount of such hormones would cause larger breasts.
There's even a growing number of products that exploit this.

I would have to agree with your conservative friends (the first part, at least).
The decision over whether or not to become an organ donor is an incredibly personal one. Why should the government have the right to make that decision for you?

This really is a horrific step in the government taking over more of our personal decisions. You know, you really only need one kidney. And there are some people who really need kidney donations. Shouldn't it be your duty to donate them your extra kidney, which you don't even need? You should feel ashamed to have two kidneys. In fact, we should pass a law that the government can come and take your second kidney whenever it wants to, you ungrateful bastard.

I'm also pretty wary of that statistic. What do they mean by "support organ donation." It's pretty easy to become an organ donor, I doubt that 8/10 of people would like to be organ donors but just can't figure out how. Maybe those 8/10 of people think organ donation is great, but would still like to abstain for whatever reason themselves.

Didn't God kill every man, woman, child, and animal except Noah and a few animals because there weren't enough believers?
I think that's pretty hard to top.

No, Noah was the only righteous one. Noah existed before Abraham and thus did not have a religion.

    Quote from Alpha Werewolf
I don't believe the Torah has anything of the sort, due to the nature of Judaism. Unlike Islam and Christianity which are missionary religions - actively try to spread themselves out - Judaism is an enclosed religion that actively discourages new joiners.

There have been periods in history when the Jews forced others into the religion (one that stands out is the Hashmonaim's kingdom), but these are few.

That's not really true. While some sects of orthodox Jews do not accept anyone as Jewish whose mother was not Jewish, other sects of orthodox and most, if not all conservative and reform congregations encourage converts. Many synagogues give classes for people wishing to convert.

Judaism just doesn't create an attitude that everyone else should be Jewish.

The discrepancy most likely falls over the different versions of the "Golden Rule". The version Christians use (and the one you've likely heard) is something like "Do unto others as you would have done unto yourself." However, if you go back to the Torah, it actually says something like , "Do not do unto others as you would not like done unto yourself."

Thus, Christians say, "I've found Jesus! Now I must go out and make everyone else find Jesus!" The Jewish version does not stimulate this. The Jewish version is used as, "Boy, would I hate it if someone came to my house, interrupted me during dinner, and tried to convince me to abandon my beliefs because theirs are better. How about I don't do that."

    And therein lies the difference.

My answer: no more than the Torah or the bible is.

I disagree. Perhaps in the Bible ("New Testament") there is something akin where Jesus says nonbelievers will go to hell, but in the Quran there are passages where Muslims are instructed to actively cause hell for nonbelievers, which is quite different.
I don't think there is anything similar in the Torah, though, since there's no hell. I haven't read it all incredibly thoroughly though, so I could be wrong. Fairly certain though.

Well the list is really fickle. Last year Comfortably Numb was #1 and now it's #25.
I certainly wouldn't agree with all of the ranking, but if you're looking for good classic rock songs to get, it's a good list.

1.This is definitely copyright infringement and I expect they'll be getting a nice cease-and-desist call very soon.

    2. Draw Muhammed Day was NEVER about making fun of Islam or making fun of Muhammed or trying to insult them.
It was saying that we will NOT be intimidated out of our free speech by some faction of insane extremist Muslims. It was in response to many publicized incidents where after talking about or showing drawings of Muhammed, people were sent death threats, attacked verbally, beaten up, etc.
That should not be allowed to happen. Freedom of Speech still exists, and while it may be against their religious beliefs to draw Muhammed, that doesn't mean they can stop the entire world from doing so.

Man, I'm disappointed. I'm not sure how I wanted them to wrap it up, or how they could have wrapped it up, but... that's not what I wanted.
There are still SO many things we don't know about. What's with all the Egyptian stuff on the Island? Why the hell couldn't Esau get off? What's with the numbers? Was the Island really important at all? Gah...

Any ideas what Miles was actually going to say before Richard cut him off? And why didn't Richard want him to say it.
I think Miles started saying "I don't think that..."

It's unfortunate that this is ending; I rather liked it. Do you think that ABC will release what the plans for the story were? It would be interesting to see.

I agree that ABC's tactic of "4 in the fall, the rest in the spring" was absolutely freaking horrible. They should fire whoever came up with that. And then shoot them.

  • posted a message on Tapping down attackers. When to do it?
    1) You may do it any time before the declare attackers step. You probably want to do it during the beginning of combat step.
    2) You have to tap them down first. Once he or she has declared who they're attacking, they're already tapped.
