First of all, thanks a ton for the detailed response. I definitely am actively looking to improve the drafting algorithm and this is good feedback. You can get some background for some of your questions on the FAQ.
Yes, the autobuild (and draft algo, for that matter because they have the same basis) assumes for simplicity's sake that you're building a 2 color deck. There are so many permuatations of different decks you could have that are 2+ splash, 3 color; 4/5 color with a ton of fixing that it hasn't been a priority to focus on this yet. Cards aren't labeled things like "fixing" for it to take that into account so that is something that would need to be assigned for every single set.
Same goes for synergy - that differs vastly set to set. Sometimes there are obvious ones (eg tribal) and sometimes not so obvious (eg cards that are "good in a control deck"). And a card can have one of these attributes or many. There's no way that could be evaluated by me within half a day of the set being spoiled and made live for everyone to use
However, that said I am looking into using machine learning to try and suss out synergies, so stay tuned on that front. Mana curve is a bit less open ended so that's definitely in the plans to include.
Looks like we've got two full weeks of practicing for Masters 25 before it comes out in person!
I just updated Draftsim for draft here and sealed here, let me know what you think.
Not sure if you've been made aware of this or not, but the simulator seems to think Brainstorm is uncommon.

That's a ton of dinosaurs! I might cut the 8 drop having no ramp in the deck (it will be really hard to cast). I think the 4 Sun-Collared Raptor might be a bit too many too - it is pretty mana intensive and can't attack profitably into a 2/2. But those 2 Dinosaur Stampedes are great in the deck.
That's an interesting idea. I have gotten a lot of feedback about "why is this bad but expensive card here so late in the pack" and I understand that it makes people feel like something just happened that would never happen at their local shop. Having the ability to turn on "local shop"/FNM mode instead of "correct drafting mode" is kind of intriguing.
One thing I wonder about with this is (besides being morally opposed as a drafting spike, but that's not important :P) how to realistically know when a card is valuable for this purpose. Maybe just an indicator on the card like as a chase rare? To actually build something to track all the individual card prices for this scenario I think would be unnecessarily complex/impractical.
For IMA purposes we're fortunate that most of the expensive cards are also good in limited.
Hey guys - taking into account a bunch of the feedback I've gotten here at MTGS and elsewhere, I'm planning to do a huge redesign and new feature ramp up for Draftsim. I just started a Patreon to help fund the project:
This past weekend WotC had their prerelease for Iconic Masters and today they officially revealed the whole set. That means it's up to play around with on Draftsim!
Well, I can speak for Draftsim at least. The bots are in a speculation phase throughout the first pack into the first few picks of the second pack. The cards are weighted by power level, so the AI is taking the most powerful card usually. But as they get more and more cards of a given color, they get a higher "color bonus" that is added on top of the power level of the card.
That said, if they open an absurd bomb in pack 2 that's a different color, they will take it and it will play heavily into the color decision they make when they decide to commit to colors later in the pack.
You can view this happening by clicking the "Suggestions" button when you do a draft and you can see the weighting occurring.
