Are we gonna get the walking dead cards also as regular mtg cards? Does anyone know?

They have staunchly refused to commit to making TWD cards to my knowledge and they have specifically stated that the guarantee to reprint all new cards through the list does NOT apply to TWD, though they have maintained that it is possible for them to do so in the future.

Thanks. Innistrad would have been the ideal place though

From a flavor standpoint and having only watched the first 2 seasons I would have expected will to be splashing blue and i am not sure why lucas has blue in him.

As cards will hopper and Mike stand out as first tiers. I consider 11 also good but boring. Max is good too but I would put her in second tier along with 11.

Which part of alibou's card make her white? The card could be monored imo
Maro has talked a bit about wanting to move Scry more into White, especially large amounts of Scry. That aspect of it certainly isn't a monored ability, so it's quite possible it's an early peek at something they're moving into or at least adding to white.

Thank you! Didn't know about this update.

I honestly don't get this sentiment. Mono white and boros have been at the bottom of the commander totem pole for ages, and then when they print something decent that bends or breaks the color pie people wonder why Wizards didn't just keep doing the same ol' thing. Do you want them to keep printing bad cards? Because conforming to old color archetypes is a surefire way to do exactly that.

Maybe this is white or boros' new thing; let's enjoy the ride while it lasts.

Just because i see a card, that based to my interpretation of the colorpie could be monored and i perceive it as them slapping onto it white, just so they can call it boros, makes me want to have bad cards printed? :/
A simple lifelink first/double strike or vigilance could have pulled the trick.

I find the card weak. I don't think she is good on her own, especially in this color combo, with the support it has. She only has a place in superfriends, especially helpful with planeswalkers who have onlu minus abilities.

From a flavor perspective it makes sense for her to be blue green since she is focused on transformation magic. That is primary blue and secondary green/black. The fact that she is secretive(or whatever is called) with her hidden agenda and all, plus the indoctrination of new walkers etc(manipulation), could be a further affirmation of her having black in her as well, down the road.

i will once again state that gods not being 2 or 3 colored is a missed opportunity.

I will basically summarise what most are saying. Its not that i don't like having phyrexians in the set and if anything vorinclex or urabrask are the most fitting to be in a world with the characteristics of kaldheim, so that is a good thing, but i would prefer to have 2 sets where in one the world is fleshed out and in the second the stakes are settled regarding tibalt and the seed of phyrexians is planted.

So okay, we got the following:
    • The phyrexians show up on other planes (I doubt Kaldheim will be about a fullblown invasion)
    • There are still mirrans alive on Mirrodin New Phyrexia
    • Koth is not willing to give up the mirrans (as far as I understand it?)
    • Tezzeret has the bridge that allows planeswalkers, inorganic material and organic material coated in special inorganic material (like lazotep) to use the bridge to travel between planes
    • Karn has retrieved the (Golgothan?) Sylex, able to cause massive devastation
    • The new Kaldheim native planeswalker Tyvar Kell has the ability to transmute flesh into any material he has access to, temporarily

So what are the odds the following will happen with the plot in the next sets/years:

The Phyrexians will show up in multiple worlds, in small numbers, maybe just one praetor per set. Vorinclex is in Kaldheim, Urabrask may be in Strixhaven etc etc.

Karn wishes to destroy New Phyrexia by destabilizing the core of Mirrodin using the Sylex. Koth does not want to let this happen and after a while they learn of Tyvar's powers and realize they can evacuate the mirrans using his powers and the bridge, which means they'll go after Tezzeret to either force him to cooperate or extract the bridge from his body.

The gatewatch teams up with Karn and retrieve a sample of lazotep from Ravnica or Amonkhet (Amonkhet would be a nice excuse to go back to the plane) for Tyvar to use as a substrate for his powers, turning the mirrans into lazotep and evacuating them elsewhere (Maybe even Amonkhet, they sure could use the numbers to rebuild and the names of the mirrans names were vaguely african to begin with? And there's no overlap in races which means each world can keep its identity.)

Karn then uses the Sylex to destabilize New Phyrexia, destroying the plane and the hub of New Phyrexian activity, though pockets of phyrexians exist elsewhere and Karn, Elspeth, Koth and maybe part of the gatewatch go out to find and destroy the last phyrexians.

The ending even leaves WotC and out in case they want to bring back the Phyrexians again in the future. (Because of course they will.)

That sounds amazing. I really hope they do this or something similar. It must not be a coincidence vorinclex is in the set. The whole story would fit tyvar's boasting personality
