It's definitely a very unique card. I think I'll try it out because it seems like a house for a big gruup deck. Cards that scream great synergy to me:
Oracle of mul daya
And any other shuffle effect.

Cratermaker > m vandal
Ass to exile
Knight of autumn
I'll be trying to push tajic with some equipment and maybe counters. I was really hoping for a soulbond that gave +1/+1, but the only thing close was stonewrite in my search.
Sep 14, 2018It sounds like he has a drawback after all...Posted in: Cube New Card Discussion
We can't honestly expect every card to do everything well, so it seems like we should focus on practicality. He's a mid-range beater for 5 that irons out your draws. It'll play well in wildfire because you can dig for your sweeper. Reanimation will also be good. Using life for these decks don't matter when you're ahead.
Sep 13, 2018I think the best thing about this is when it dies, you dig for your next threat.Posted in: Cube New Card Discussion
In reanimation decks, you can surveil to bin threats and keep reanimation on top.
Overall, I think it's more about making the next play more achievable, not the creature itself.

May 22, 2018InfinityBlack14 posted a message on The Sagas - Are they good and where are you playing them?I've been using atraxa, with starfield of nyx and mirari's conjecture to recur removal, ramp, and such. I seem to lock down the game with thran and scriptures by removing the counters on the upkeep. Mine's trying to do too much right now, but it's definitely viable as a strategy IMO.Posted in: Commander (EDH)
Apr 5, 2018Oath can be bounced, while this is narrower and could possibly be flashed back. I guess it depends on which ones are most important: city's blessing, flicker, flashback, or planes Walker colour fixing.Posted in: Cube Card and Archetype Discussion
Nov 23, 2017Wildfire tech that could save my x/4 creatures? Yes please. I hate when I WF or BoX and an active walker takes the board. I'd rather have two dead pw in my hand and draw 2 a turn, than lose to someone else's pw.Posted in: Cube Card and Archetype Discussion
Jul 6, 2017Metallic Mimic and Adaptive Automaton. You're welcome. Naga tribal at it's finest.Posted in: Cube Card and Archetype Discussion
I will probably put it in my cube for a short time to humor my group with:
-summoner's bond with metallic mimic
-walkers like gideon bfz
-instant speed equip
PS: don't take me seriously on any of these.

It is? A 6-mana 6/5 is a horrendously unacceptable rate in this format. This should still be cast as a ramp/card advantage spell 90% of the time. Tusker's cost/body is even worse, so it's cycling rate is probably 95%, but make no mistake, neither of these creatures are played because of their value as creatures.
I don't know what I was thinking..... This all seems mediocre.
