I'm of a mind that anything that directly prevents a spell from resolving is essentially a counterspell, but Moss's point that exiling a spell gets around "can't be countered" clauses is a bit of a dagger in that idea's back. What do you guys think?
I agree with Moss Elemental. I think it's kind of a cop out when the challenge tells you to design a counter spell.
Deepmine Scavenger1B
Creature-Rat Warrior [U]
You may cast Deepmine Scavenger without paying its mana cost if an opponent discarded two or more cards this turn.

Tears for the FallenWB
Instant [U]
Destroy target attacking creature. That creature's controller reveals his or her hand and discards all cards that have the same name as that creature.

Babble Mage1UU
Creature-Human Wizard [R]
Your opponents play with the top card of their library revealed. Those players can’t play spells with the same name as the top card of their library. “Those who repeat the past are doomed to forget it.”

Okay, here's the crits. I know I said I'd post them in the discussion thread, but it looks like I miscounted and there is still time to edit this post.
You guys are lucky you didn’t get stuck with aftermarketradio on your team, coz I luv me some Usagi Yojimbo. That being said:
Gerrard's Mom
The only problem I really have with it is that red and black can get rid of enchantments with it. I’m a color pie kinda guy, and that don’t work for me.
Jimmy Groove
It will almost always die when it hits the table—which doesn’t endear it to me very much. I’d prefer shock, or at least a 2/2 for two that might have a chance at surviving the fight. Also, no class type.
Doombringer
Not too strong, but still highly useful removal.
Antny223
Looks good. Priced well, the abilities compliment one another. I like that it makes your opponent just straight up deal with the threat rather than sit there and take 3 damage for 5 mana.
Profani
Something I haven’t seen done before (at least not with the drawback). Fits in the color pie perfectly, feels very mutanty. Viable in competitive play.
Goblin Carnival3R
Tribal Enchantment-Goblin [R]
At the beginning of your upkeep, reveal the top card of your library and flip a coin. If you win the flip, put that card into your hand. If you lose the flip, shuffle your library and Goblin Carnival deals damage to you equal to the revealed card’s converted mana cost.
Waiting Wisdom Temple
Land [R]
Waiting Wisdom Temple enters the battlefield tapped. T: Add W or U to your mana pool.
Skip your next draw step: Untap Waiting Wisdom Temple. Use this ability only once a turn.

Deicide 4UB
Sorcery [R]
Destroy target planeswalker. Draw a card for every loyalty counter on that permanent. Gods are destroyed through reason, not malice.
@EzraEliot: Psychokinetic Sculpture has just one oddity. Specifically, when you activate its ability, you get to pick your hand back up so that it's not revealed anymore. (This happens because, in the process of becoming a copy of the card in question, it no longer has the "Play with your hand revealed." ability.)
I'm not sure if that's intentional (in which case it interacts in bad ways with, say, Hidden Retreat because there's no guarantee that the card you'd chosen is still in your hand while your hand isn't revealed) or not (in which case the copy ability needs to re-grant the "Play with your hand revealed." ability).
I see! No, I you're absolutely right-it wasn't designed like that. Thanks so much for telling me.
Psychokinetic Sculpture4
Artifact (R)
Play with your hand revealed. 4: Psychokinetic Sculpture becomes a copy of target land, artifact, enchantment or creature card with "play with your hand revealed." This effect lasts as long as that card is in your hand.
Creature-Human Cleric
When Everfields Silencer enters the battlefield, exile target enchantment. Everfields Silencer gains protection from that enchantment’s colors.
