I think that a fixed mana cost makes the ability far less interesting. Here is another card idea that shows why.
Ceremonial Ashwing WB
Creature - Bird
Flying
Mourn WB
When Ceremonial Ashwing mourns a creature put a 1/1 white bird creature token with flying into play.
1/1
Protection from non-legendary permanents? If it's just pro non-legendary would that mean he has pro instants and sorceries since they aren't legendary?
Kamigawa.
It works like this:
Mourn - Cost: Effect
Whenever a creature that shares a creature type with this creature is put into a graveyard from play, pay Cost reduced by that creature's mana cost to do the effect.
For example
Waverite Tide Turner 2U
Creature - Minotaur Shaman (Common?)
Mourn - 2U: Tap or untap target creature. (Play only when a creature with the same type as this creature is put into your graveyard from play, and only once for each creature. The mourn cost is reduced by that creature's mana cost.)
1/2
What do you guys think? Is the wording confusing? I have ideas for a set that would include Minotaurs and Shamans as well as some other things.
Hi! This is my first post.
I think these cards are way undercosted.
Stone Rain cost 2R to destroy a land, the red incarnation costs just one more R, is also a 3/3 creature, kills creatures, and comes back when it dies.
Same with the blue, Boomerang is UU, the incarnation only 2 more.
I like the idea, but they just seem too powerful for having such good abilities and easy resurrection conditions. I think you could even loose the activated abilities and still have an interesting cycle; if you did that I would change red's come into play do 2-3 damage, and green's to put a token into play. I don't want to sound like a jerk on my first post... I hope someone agrees with me.
Hymning Specter is really cool, it forces opponents to make some decisions really early in the game.
I think Angel of Sorrow's ability is way too strong considering you can attack with it every turn.
Junkyard Hound is really good. Simple and solid.
I like Witchwood Dryad, it's a nice option to have on an opening hand and is still playable otherwise.
