#1 - I can see that. The only matchups i find it truly dead in are: Storm, Titan Shift, Burn [minus lavamancer], Dredge, UR Breach, Living End. In these you can at least name their main fetch (Scalding Tarn, Wooded Foothills for storm/titan shift). The rest there is a target i wouldn't mind naming in the matchup/I leave revoker in. In the end - it was the sideboard card I had i liked the best MD. Argument could be made for rec sage but find that dead about the same amount of time.

Can't name a fetch land with Phyrexian Revoker. It can only name nonland cards, fetches are still lands.

I play mostly Elves and Mefolk as my second go to deck, so im not a expert on the deck as most of the others here. But my biggest thing on the land base you posted is that you are so very vulnerable to blood moon. Like to the point that I think you almost lose to it if its resolves turn two or three. And I don't think its a card you can completely ignore in modern. Burn and Affinty variations are even playing with it currently.

Merfolk is normally a good matchup for us, We are just faster.

(Three attackers with 1 point of power)+(additiontal point of power from archdruid for three attackers)+(2 overrun for three attackers)

    (1+1+1)+(1+1+1)+(2*3*3)=24

That is 24 damage, not 15.

How are you overrunning 2 times on turn 3?

Thoughts on chalice of the void on zero out of the side to deal with the new cheeri0s deck? Could even bring it in for affinity and setting on 1 on turn 2 is fine if we have a cavern in play if we can shut down an opposing deck with it.

Trying to proactively think of outs to the deck. It would allow us to proactively shut them off of the engine if were on the play without sacrificing any speed really.

Not thrilled about it being a non creature, but the idea of witch printkng a chalice on a stick sounds broken in half to me...could you imagine the salt?...the tilt? Erhnm, I digress...

Anyone else brewing outs to the pure steel/sram builds? Supposedly the deck has legs.

Eidolon of Rhetoric slows them down considerably though a bit slow. Cheeri0s relies on Grapeshot so our old pal Burrenton Forge-Tender comes in handy.

I'm pretty sure Burrenton Forge-Tender only nullifies one damage off Grapeshot.

You are correct, Burrenton could only stop 1.

I am fond of Mark of Asylum. While it cannot be tutored for, it's effect is powerful enough to turn some games around. Turning off Lightning Bolt is very important as it leaves Jund with only Abrupt Decay and Terminate. Grixis only has Terminate (and now Fatal Push if played) and Jeskai only has Path to Exile. Even better is when Pyroclasm/Anger of the Gods become dead cards in your opponents hand.

It's a bad topdeck but it helps a lot with our early game which is where we struggle if we're hit by removal.

I'am running into U/R/W Jeskai type decks a lot now with the meta change. About every 1 in 3 games online it seems like. And I have a feeling it's going to be a problem next weekend at SCG Regionals. I keep finding myself getting them down to 3 or 4 life and just cant keep anything on long enough to finish the game.

Players who have used Mark of Asylum in S/B against bolt-snap-bolt decks, what are your thoughts? Did it significantly increase your chances? Did it feel like it did nothing? Was it worth keeping in your sideboard?

I've been play testing with Narnam Renegade online for the last 3 days and decided I will be running him MB from now on.

Also I think E. Visionary can be easily cut for any 2 or 3 drop without much problem. I've already cut them to run Shaman of the Pack instead in a Abzan version I've been play testing for Regionals and haven't really missed it all that much. The Horizon Canopy's usually replace the cantrip ability well enough.

But this is of course all opinionated, and the deck run's in a way that I enjoy.

Question. Why do people sideboard Thragtusk? Is that mana cost really worth it when you have Essence Warden at 1 mana?

In a grindy MU Thragtusk has more field presence than Essence Warden. Being able to block an attacking creature and kill it (like a goyf or Kalitas etc..) could be major. Even if Thragtusk does die you still get another 3/3 chump for the next turn. Atleast that would be my reasoning to run it.

For those who are preparing for the SCG Regionals at the beginning of the next month lets talk S/B plans and Meta.

Now with the new banning of G. Probe and GG. Troll, I think we will see a rise in Ad Nauseam and Tron. And I think Bant Eldrazi will be played heavily.

Any thoughts on what your expecting at SCG Regionals?

I'm not sure dredge is as dead as people are claiming. I don't think as many spikes will pick it up, granted, but the deck can still be quite powerful with golgari thug.

TRON may pick up steam but there may not be many people who can swap quickly from the R to W sideboard package in the short timeframe. With the meta slowing a bit, the need for red's lower to the ground sweepers is alleviated a bit as well with less pull back to GR variants.

I do think grixis stands to gain a ton with the recent bannings as they are picking up fatal push; which is really good against us unfortunately. Grixis can just jam 2-4 ceremonious rejection in the side to deal with TRON, affinity, or Eldrazi. At this point I think enough of my expected meta is colorless than rejection is just a great 2+ card in the sideboard. My hope is that people running cards like izzet staticaster will move them out of the board to make room for push, but who knows.

I don't know if the stock in Ad Naus will change much, I hope not. A single eidolon of rhetoric in the side may be fine if you have access to the chords. I don't expect much else to change.

Decks I hope to dodge will be TRON with red, the new amulet variants, grixis control shells, ad naus. I feel pretty confidant against most everything else and even these matches aren't BAD.

I completely agree with you on Dredge. I think it will still be a thing. Thug will make the consistency a little worse is all, but the deck is essentially the same. But I also think the hit in consistency makes the MU even better for us.

Pretty decent 1 drop. The death touch is very nice.

Wrap in vigor does nothing against wrath of God or damnnation. Heroic Intervention does. I think that makes a huge difference between the two

Locket of myths could be good in grindy matchups.
