I don't really care about this kind of product, but I feel like if the FF cards aren't somehow connected to Triple Triad, they'll have really missed the mark.
I'm keen on a FF lair but not even sure what Triple Triad is...
the art here is almost definitely reused artwork from unreleased TF:TCG products that were planned before its cancellation. The SG versions definitely are, and the cartoony ones might be as well since each of those characters had a card before cancellation, except slicer I believe.
I can imagine Hasbro pitched the UB crossover with Disney execs who loved the potential profit and idea so much that after telling Hasbro they weren't interested they took all of that information to Ravensburger to create Lorcana.
Why's Solaflora a Guest?? Strong effect, it feels mythic-worthy. That's a Voltron for YOU, and for YOU, and for YOU! Voltrons for all!
Also, why is she acorn? Stickers are not?
I'm having trouble with that as well, doesn't seem like anything that is acorn worthy. This would need to be explained really well for me to understand it.
What happens when an effect tries to remove an Aura/Equipment/counter sticker from a creature you control from one of your creatures who isn't Solaflora? Let's say Solaflora has a shield counter on her, and someone tries to Bolt one of your 2/2s. What happens to it? If you treat it as if it does have a shield counter, you go to remove a nonexistent counter, and the 2/2 just dies. However, it's still supposed to have a shield counter on it. So does the 2/2 die or not?
I think you can blame totem armor alone. Hyena Umbra.
what the **** is this *****? All the abilities and keywords we've seen so far are clunky AT BEST. This just does not feel like anything Magic, at all. Who asked for this? Holy crap. Remember Unstable? Someone who just learned magic could pick up and play with cards from that set. None of this grokking abilities that haven't been printed on a card in years only for them not to actually matter 99% of the time. None of this stickers changing names in a way that doesn't actually fit with the mechanics of the game it is based on. TWO SIDE DECKS. What?! SIX mechanically identical versions of a card that trigger in different ways but all with the same art? What the **** is that??
Like, that land. Why is it all types? What does being an urza land do? Nothing. It does nothing. It isn't there to improve the mechanical use of the card, its there because omg I recognize that name! Is it for marketing purposes? I can't wrap my head around this. And that what this whole thing feels like. Dear god. Who wants a ******* fun fair carnival side deck in their magic game?? Who wants a single land to enable domain?
It's been said before, and I'm sure it's been heartfelt, but now it is official. Magic is ruined forever.
You should quit and send me all your cards, also don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Interesting that there are cards that are eternal legal that use stickers. Are the stickers removable? If not, is it legal to place the stickers over a card sleeve? I’m asking because presumably putting a sticker on a card and then shuffling up that card for another game would be considered playing with marked cards since the sticker would slightly increase the card’s thickness in that spot.
Stickers are basically tokens, if you don't want to sticker it to your sleeves put them on paper and cut them out. Only acorn cards will care about actual placement.
oh wow just 2 blue cards and an almost equal distribution between red and black cards while black has another whole deck for itself. This make me think that the new black one will contain quite a high number of new colorless artifacts. And the Esper deck will likely have 50/50 distribution between blue and white and only 1 or 2 black cards + the multicolor ones.
Quite a few new demons here. I don't have my Kaalia of the Vast deck build but I think that the Bloodthirster can be quite nice there.
And depending on terms of the licensing agreement they might not be ever able to reprint anything. Which could mean Old One Eye could effectively be reserved list from the start.
I'll probably stick to Torbran, Thane of Red Fell for this kind of spellslinger deck, but if you wanted to do it in Izzet, this wouldn't be a bad route.

Those madmen at wizards, reusing unused art...
Lorcana looks like it shares some key similarities with Magic on what we've seen, there's clearly power/toughness and the tap symbol.

More than the whole black and white set?
The mount is the insect drone, the rider is a Plague Bearer.
Pretty sure they just won't be balanced.
This guy cam include Prodigal Sorcerer the original Tim.
