The rules dont specify if a different token that is also a Food/Clue etc would still count as a predefined token.
I belive because of 111.10 "The effect that creates a predefined token may also modify or add to the predefined characteristics." Means that if Bananas were Food they would need to say that you couldn't sacrifice it for life.
Multiplyer games becoming the norm can only mean a greater percentage of losers. I don't think not winning is the problem, standard in stores is simply a thing of the past, they keep asking what will it take to fix instead of asking whether the players even want them to.
I posted this on reddit posing that Magic is bigger than ever and we all know its because of commander, why even bother looking to the past?
So if a lone Banana is your opponent's lone artifact, they sacrifice it for mana in response to Kibo's attack trigger...which is just enough life to offset Kibo's base power. Huh.
Well then all your Monkeys get mad and grow bigger.
So Phyrexian Fleshgorger can be either a powerful 3-drop to pressure the opponents really fast in Standard Monoblack decks, or a T3 Tron-powered beatstick, I love it.
That Teferi looks powerful at first glance, but I'm more inclined to believe that the high MV and the fact that the tokens it makes don't have evasion will keep him in check, still it seems risky for Commander, but I don't really know the format so I don't know how viable Monoblue decks are.
now Commander decks can be built around legends already printed
Other forums seem to believe that these will be dirt cheap and for entry level purposes. I think using reprints is a fine strategy for that, a clear signal to experienced players "this is not for you". But for my 13 years old nephew, maybe it's perfect.
yea I wouldn’t hold hope for that
Knowing wizards there will be atleast one chase reprint card inside These and those alone will like prevent it from being dirt cheap
It's hard to get excited in Secret Lairs as an Australian, for whatever reason shipping to Australia is about 75% of the price. Seriously the postage of the $160 bundle just now is $120, I'd expect Rosewater to be dropping off the envelope for that price.
After watching Tolarian Community College's most recent video in regards to this topic,
I did indeed watch it and thanks for the link.
His points are spot on. Now we will see if he takes it the next step by refraining to buy and open this product on his channel for monetization clicks. Practice what you preach.
Pity it won't actually come with that nice longbox.
Assuming these are available in foil, the Scourge, Defense and Assault are all worth (currently) well more than their box if the price point is the usual 39.99.
If you're in America, I'm in Australia and Secret lairs are basically double the price you guys pay.

Which was a reference to the original sex monkeys in Uktabi Orangutan.
Hydroponic, lol
Best thing I could think of was looping Prismatic Vista and Fabled Passage repeatedly for landfall triggers.
Retro only.
It's pretty wild with Ephemerate.
The reprints are mediocre at best:

Yeah some have some ok value but they won't hold that value after these are on shelves.
No chance...
