I dont know anything about Flesh and Blood but I would think any game that eventually gets enough traction to rival mtg will inevitably follow Hasbros design and strategy. Regardless of how flawed we all think it is, Wizatds have created an economic gargantuan and any company would strive to emulate that.
Between cubing silver borders, proxies, alters, and even some custom cards I have 0 problem here. I’m okay cubing like a balrog or treebeard directly since they’re a solid fit for the overall “vibe” of magic. If they print a space orc card strong enough to cube, might just use the mechanics of the card with a homedone magic skin.
Can't wait for Ghazghkull Thraka to get his own card.
I found this statement by the edh rules committee interesting:
"We’ve talked to the folks in Studio X and they understand the problems created by generically-powerful five-color commanders that don’t have WUBRG in their mana cost. We don’t expect similar cards to come from them in the future..."
Why can't your group allow your friend to play Golos anyway?
Our group had Golos banned before he was out...
Yeah that's Winter Orb.
Can't wait for Ghazghkull Thraka to get his own card.

Or Strixhaven, cause you know... Harry Potter...
