Good evening again my fellow Phyrexians/Mirrans. So I read the article below a couple of weeks ago and thought I'd try something similar to Andrew Dang's list. Started putting it together today and I noticed Curse of Stalked Prey in my binder. Has anyone been crazy enough to try this thing as a SB option against anything where we anticipate Stony Silence; and what do you guys think about doing this? I'm tempted on the basis that it could do a Steel Overseer impression and grow our fliers
Curse sounds like something. It gives the army a direct boost and is harder to remove. Can be a better topdeck than Overseer in some cases. Might be better in a Frogmite build and combined with driven // despair. Only problem is you need to connect for the counter.
Then again, it is not an artifact tho and we need a critical mass.
Don't think it's an anti-stony silence tech, since shutting down our mana has been a far worse problem than shutting down an Overseer ability.
I meant to try one out in my sb at the last fnm and accidentally mixed a spare copy in with the rest of my deck at my last fnm. So ended up playing affinity with 61 cards mainboard... While I loved Andrew Dang's list, curse underperformed and I was mostly disappointed to see it. Cast it once and it seemed a little too slow for the rest of the deck. I would like to try it in gobots next but I like the idea of having it with frogmite snd driven//despair. I might just try that next Thanks for the feedback and the advice!
