Ah, good. I was gonna ask about what the new site would be once salvation goes under or whatever was happening. Hopefully the transition isn't too bad.
Mutavault has won me a game before, so I'm sold. Just got a nexus of fate and elder deep fiend today too, so yuriko has some upgrades. Maybe I'll look through my bulk for gurmag too.
I was able to tutor for some sort of toolbox creature with higure and a "everything is a ninja" card out once, so that was helpful. I think maybe it was something silly like baleful strix to keep me safe from a problem flyer. But he is pretty expensive early game...
Yeah, losing control of yuriko hurts. I had an Edgar player play new blood and start getting crazy triggers and card draw from yuriko with a dozen vampires. It was ugly. Definitely would've preferred saccing her
Yuriko is very powerful. I got groans on my second game with it, because they'd seen how awful it got. I'd also started that game with an explosive ornithopter turn 1. I feel bad playing it now, so I think I'll keep it for new groups, to laugh at, then shuffle a new game and play for real. Funny because I haven't even gotten her real card yet, and she's retired...
Yeah, I'm more on the team of not tutoring like a madman. One or two, maybe, but otherwise it's just the same gameplay every time and it may make the deck strong, but it saps the fun. Kinda like playing sisay. Also, the fun for me is in getting the gamble of a good top deck damage card. But y'all play how you wanna.
Side question: did you think any of the partner commanders were worth a go? I tried Pir, Imaginative Rascal and Toothy, Imaginary Friend and they're pretty good with +1/+1 counter synergies, but the others seemed... bad? Seems like the only good things out of the set were the lands.
I obtained an Imperial Recruiter and it does indeed seem like a pretty good choice in here. It hits 16/25 creatures, including the best combo starters like marionette master and ravager. Pretty awesome.
Well, I have about 15 decks in various stages of completion and your three commanders were all ones I've had interest in, especially after reading your primers. I liked your take on xenagos from the get go, so then I made gitrog, loved it, and made marchesa. Alternate takes on powerful commanders are what I enjoy I suppose.
My favorite new list has been The locust god actually. It's so explosive and can easily take on a table with various different kills. Coming out of my comfort zone to play blue is surprisingly fun, too. Also, I haven't been able to have much fun with white decks either. I have a few, but they need something done to them to make them fun again.
@ Wrinklykiller I'm not sure Grand warlord Radha is all that good. We will only be getting 1 to 2 mana from it in most cases. Seems like we have better ramp in general.
Ack! I totally misread her card. I thought you got mana for the attacking power. Oh well, no wonder.
I unashamedly copied each of your three decks, as I enjoy your style of power without infinite combos or cheese. Are you working on anything new, by the way? Xenagos has been my go to deck when I really wanna thrash someone, as not many people are prepared for the speed and the carnage. Only time I lose is when I can't keep Xenagos out, which isn't common. I haven't come into contact with many scary blue players yet, which I'm thankful for.
Have you ever pitted the three against each other for funsies? I had a game the other day with xenagod, gitrog, and marchesa, plus a the scarab god deck. Marchesa took the early lead with a ravager and some modular creatures comboing out pretty hard and gitrog slowly and steadily ramping away. There was a bit of back and forth, but the big play was xenagos hard casting emrakul, the promised end and stealing marchesa's turn, Blitzkrieg attacking scarab god into single digits, then saccing everything marchesa had, leaving her doomed with only a copied burgeoning on the board. Then Xenagos got a sneak attack and it was game over, dealing well over 300 damage with emrakul, etali, hellkite tyrant, atarka, scourge of the throne, etc. A pretty surprising turn of events.
The newly spoiled Grand Warlord Radha seems like it could be good in this deck, too. A new Savage Ventmaw of sorts.
Poor Leovold... maybe if he wasn't such an oppressive jerk, he could've stuck around.
This deck has been probably the funnest to play for me lately. It has so many answers and sneaky ways to get things done and every draw feels like a threat to someone else. I have a slightly older version as I've been too busy to go through cards, but I just had a game where it took on a Derevi, Gitrog, and Leovold. It would've won, even with Leovold making everyone's card go away, but after a few board wipes, Leo was defenseless and Marchessa was still in her prime. Unfortunately, Derevi got a Thespian's stage out with Gitrog's Dark Depths out and the resulting voltron'd up marit lage was devastating to everyone on the board. Still had a great time though, and that's what matters.
Hi, looks like you have another fun deck here. I really enjoy your style of not using the most busted win-cons and infinite stuff and I hope to see more clever commander decks from you. But enough ass kissing, I have a few dumb questions.
With metallic mimic, is construct the best creature type to pick? And what do you mean it auto protects Marchessa? I must be missing something.
If you did have the oblivion stone, ashnod's altar, and mox opal, what would you replace? There's so many things serving important purposes in this deck, it's really tough making cuts. What about a Chrome Mox?
Architects of Will, and Creeping Tar Pit both seem to work well here. Then some maybes, Beacon of Tomorrows, and Keeper of Keys seem okay as well.

Aether revolt has added some interesting ways to take this deck, for sure.
