The guy who runs our drafts said there's been a change to drafting basic lands? I don't believe him but can someone please confirm for me if you do or DO NOT pass basic lands during draft?
A lot of people are commenting on how the "Mind" deck might (no pun intended) be a but too advanced for brand new players.
But what about for those of us that are existing players? I always felt DD was weak and watered down. Will the "Mind" deck scratch my "needs thinking" itch?
The final artists for GP Vegas was just announced. It's an amazing collection of MTG talent, both old and new, but it does seem to be missing one thing: females.
Out of the 35 artists that will be attending GP Vegas, not a single one of them is a woman.
This makes no sense to me. There's plenty of women artists and it just seems as though something more must be going on here.
How can this be coincidence? Even if it somehow is, wouldn't you think Channel Fireball would have realized "Wow, we've only got men coming. Someone get on the phone to Terese, Winona, Magali, Guay, Weber, Hudson, come on...you know Melissa Benson is just sitting in her living room waiting to be invited.
I'm so beyond thankful that the print run for this is going to be larger than the others (if that's confirmed..?)
Do they ever confirm print run size in certain terms? The EV value is insane here, but if it is a limited print run and these start going for $300+ a box it'll be a disaster.
Wizards! Do the right thing and give us a better print run so we can actually make cards like Goblin Guide a $5 card again. Burn is supposed to be budget.
With the reprint of Goblin Guide and the fetches, burn will be budget. But get your hands on your playset of Eidolon of the Great Revel as soon as possible, since it's from Journey into Nyx and can't be in MM2017. It's already spiking hard since it's the last burn staple that's holding value.
Exactly, and you have also illustrated the problem. No matter what they reprint, there will always be 1-2 cards that the finance community can target to buy out and shoot up in price. If it isn't Eidelon of the Revel then it'll be something else. Now Goblin Guide is $5 each and Eidelon is $45. It's like there's no way to win.

I do NOT understand how this got to be such an expensive card??? It's good, but that pricetag prior to the reprint was nuts. Hope this drops it down like a rock...but I am not sure it will. How low will it go, do you think?
The old art was better, because Olivia was literally drinking a glass of wine and toasting to the torching of her old mansion....maybe she even started the fire? It was dripping with flavor. I can't even make out what this new art is depicting.
Sorry, but I am going to have to add my voice to those irritated that this didn't stay rare. The upshift obviously had 100% to do with player's needing this card, and it is insane they did not leave it at rare.
