Rejoice and be Merry!
All packages have arrived, and as soon as the mailman passes today, all will have been sent out!
Now you need only wait with excitement in your heart, and squeal with glee when your package arrives! And then cherish your cards forever and ever!.
(Remember to take pictures/scans, and share them with all of us!)
----
Also of note, Grant1 has added a little present to each of your packages, so don't be surprised to find a little surprise from more than one person. (I didn't this year (sorry!) because... reasons. I'll do it again next year, I promise!)

spooky posted a message on Getting Started in Legacy and Legacy Budget Primer v5After two long years (has it really been THAT long?!) I have finally gotten the drive to finish version five of my budget legacy guide. As of right now, the guide has a little over 65 decks to check out, and is now using a fancy new Google Doc format. So, come on in and check out the budget lists!Posted in: Legacy (Type 1.5)
As a side note, about 20 more decks are scheduled to be added within the coming week. So, be sure to check back in a bit for even more interesting budget lists!
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please comment, email, or whatever! I'm always open!
This guide was written for all budget-minded Legacy players. Decks have been sorted by the general archetypes of Aggro, Control, Combo, and Midrange, as well as by cost. If you have any questions, e-mail me at Spooky386@gmail.com, pm me here, or post here in this thread!
As a note to the mods, if possible I would like this thread stickied and my previous version archived. (thanks!) If the current Google Doc format is not in line with MTGSalvation forum rules please let me know as soon as possible so that I can work to reformat the content into something acceptable. -

elconquistador1985 posted a message on BurnPosted in: Aggro & TempoQuote from dantekratos01 »What are your thoughts on sin prodder?
I realy like the idea of revealing afireblast with it.
or the fact that it's damage that can't be countered (or only with stifle).
or is the 3 mana cost just to expensive?
this is the list I would play.
note that the sin prodder replaces 1 flame rift and the 3rd sulfuric vortex.
the sulfuric vortex in the sideboard replaces a vexing shusher.
The average CMC of the spells in the deck is about 2, and about 1/3 of the deck is lands. They'll very rarely let you draw the card. So, on your upkeep, 1/3 of the time you flip a land and deal zero. 2/3 of the time, you deal an average of 2 damage. 1/3 x 0 + 2/3 x 2 = 4/3 points of damage on your upkeep. It's about the same as Curse of the Pierced Heart, but the Curse is cheaper to cast and is harder to kill because it's not a creature. Note how no one is playing the Curse outside of Pauper Burn. Sin Prodder isn't something that Burn wants, either. -

Vexing Devil was never good. Keldon Marauders were better before Monastery Swiftspear, and Swifty is plain better now.Posted in: Aggro & Tempo
If Vexing Devil was a 2/1 with Haste, it would be a good card, but it's not. It's an empty promise, the girl that lead you on in high-school so you would drive her around town but never put out. That's Vexing Devil.
Personally I've lost more games to Affinity than to Devil/12Pillar Burn builds.
I've never lost to Affinity. -

SadderRobot posted a message on BurnHey guys,Posted in: Aggro & Tempo
Just wanted to let you know that I'm writing up a new primer that I think I'm going to host on reddit's r/mtglegacy. I feel like this primer is way out of date and the primer on The Source lacks a lot of detail, so I want to undertake this project and write a more comprehensive, up-to-date primer. Any suggestions? I'll post a link here once it's done. -

Kovukono posted a message on Oath of the Gatewatch MWS PatchIf I remember correctly, MTG-BR's MWS is managed by Alex Meusburger, who constantly promotes MWS EasyInstall. It's entirely possible that MTG-BR's version of this is not capable of being updated with a text patch, and you're stuck waiting until EasyInstall gets its update. If you move your decks and pics to another folder, and install with the version given out by mwsgames.com (the official source) and use their gamepack (http://mwsgames.com/download/mtg_gamepack.exe), and move your decks and pics back, you should be able to apply the patch in this thread without issue.Posted in: Third Party Products -

Kovukono posted a message on Oath of the Gatewatch MWS PatchPosted in: Third Party ProductsQuote from Aquila Noctis »I am using MWS from the website MTG-BR
I added the set OGW with this file, but didn't work that good, then I found on SlighltyMagic an updated database from GoblinHero and I used that (didn;t find his usual mws theme this time)
Now I have the new cards but the colorless mana is now untap symbol, how to fix it?
Can someone share his own *.mwtheme please?
Thanks
Goblin Hero literally did the exact opposite of what I and MWSProbs did for colorless mana symbols (and given that MWS seems to prefer his stuff, his will probably become standard). If you want to use his stuff, use his (which means updating the entire card db so you catch all untap symbols, as well as a new theme). If you want to use our stuff, use ours. Do not mix and match, as it will not work out. -

elconquistador1985 posted a message on BurnYes, swift is definitely in goblin guide's league. It's not a replacement for guide, and is the first creature I side out, but it is definitely close in power level to guide. It does demand a different decision tree than guide, though.Posted in: Aggro & Tempo
Vexing devil is not even close to being in the same league as guide and swift. I'd play a host of other creatures before devil, spark elemental and hellspark elementaland keldon marauders to name 3. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

The all point he meant is that Magic is a game, more than a way to invest money... Why depriving players of using good cards just because some greed players would be upset?
I play since 1994 and I am not scared that my old limited cards would lose value. Even reprinting, having the real old ones will be cooler Try to see the glass as half full
Yes, you can invest money on MTG if you like, but there are better choice, like gold or housing.

I have a decent value of cards among that list, but I wouldn't be pissed...
Indeed, I would be pleased to be able to open again packs with these cards with my friends. Some of them were just babies at that time and they didn't have the chance to do it. Try to imagine it! Opening an underground sea after so many years!!! Or finding a foil common like dark ritual!!!
In the end, do you think that Reserved list has a meaning anymore? World changes and so do the rules...
