I don't really see the point of Manamorphose in this deck. If they are meant for you to draw cards, then I would drop them for Needle DropIMO. It deals one AND lets me draw a card, although both work. I just think that since you are going for damage, needle drop might be a better option.

Also, Shocks should prolly go MD if you are looking to burn your opponent. It does 2 where mogg fanatic only does 1. You also might want to consider at least 2 sulfurous blasts SB because they are great for late game mass removal, Specially if you have the man lands.

Speaking of which, if you can get some, try and snag 4 Ghitu Encampment. They can deal damage in a pinch, along with being a decent 2/1 first strike blocker.

Seems Like a good deck though.

Manamorphose is perfect for raising storm count on the Grape Shot. Additionally it is essentially a 0: Draw a Card, where as Needle Drop is 1: add 1 damage to a spell, Draw a card. See the difference? It goes back to Legacy burn, where there is a concept known as Bauble Burn, which uses the Urza's Bauble and Mishra's Bauble cards to increase the speed at which you are drawing cards for essentially 0 mana. They also use Street Wraith as well.

Mogg Fanatic is a Chump Blocker, as well as potentially a 2 point damage card. It is infinitely more useful over all than the Shock spell is in most games.

The reason I don't run more than 2 cards that come into play tapped for mana, is because I do not like to slow down the speed at which my deck runs by a terrible amount. This deck is supposed to be as fast as possible, so I thought I would try to increase its speed by only running 2 comes into play tapped cards. Additionally, the Keldon Megaliths really help the deck when I do actually run out of mana, as they allow me to essentially continue to deal damage, even if it is a single point a turn.

P.S. the other thing about manamorphose verses Needle Drop... is that Needle Drop requires you to have a spell in hand to play prior to the drop. Where as Manamorphose lets you draw into another spell to play with the newly available mana, or play one you already had available with the mana... or even not play one at all and take the mana burn if you wish.

This is a deck inspired by the Legacy Burn Decks. Where as a Red Deck Wins Deck focuses on Creatures to do its damage with, this deck focuses primarily on burn spells to do its damage with. There is a distinct difference between the two. The idea behind the deck is to inflict as much damage with burn spells as possible to the dome, while also having the ability to inflict damage to creatures without sacrificing tempo. To that end it uses Pyroclasm instead of Suflurous Blast.

Ultimately this deck was designed to be as low on the cost of cards as possible. The Sideboard is going to be the last most major investment made in the construction of this deck, and will probably take 2 or 3 months in addition to the initial cost of the deck to build.

The deck will hopefully not become obsolete when the Time Spiral Block cycles out, seeing as how only 14 of the cards are actually Time Spiral Block cards. So hopefully in the next few sets some new cards will be printed to allow for the replacement of those cards.

I decided to design this deck instead of the Gargadon version because I tried the Gargadon version and found it to be to slow. I also tried a pure Gargadon deck and found that to not really work very well. So I have decided instead to give Tarox Bladewing a try in the Red Deck Wins environement. I played this at the last FNM I went to, and it went 3 wins to 3 losses. Tell me what you think.

The losses were to a Madness deck which was able to get 4/4's out on turns 3 and 4.

    to a deck I can't recall...

and to a Mono-Black Korlash Aggro deck with Sudden Death.

At the time I lost I was running 2 Ghitu Encampments instead of 2 Mountains... I was running 2 Disintegrates instead of the 2 Brute Forces... I was running 2 Wheel of Fate instead of the 2 Browbeat... and I was running 3 Pyroclasm instead of the 3 Mogg War Marshal.

P.S. I don't want to add any Ravnica to this deck, so don't bother suggesting it XD
