Evil Lotus of Doom3
Artifact T, Sacrifice Evil Lotus of Doom: Add three mana of any one color to your mana pool. 3, T: Put a token that's a copy of Evil Lotus of Doom into play under your control.
Anyone know how to avoid bad sports and ignorant people like this on workstation?
btw, please mention any play errors that may help my game.
I know it may pain you to do so, but I often find it is best to not play optimally. Imagine if you had only played 3 poultices the whole game. On average, it would take you 3 turns longer to win, but it would make your opponent feel like they had a chance. I know its unfair that bad sportsmanship would cause you to give less than your best, but in casual settings its sometimes most appropriate to avoid hurting feelings.
I ran this deck at FNM hoping for an easy victory, but lost in the finals to our local meta-master who foresaw this deck overtaking the meta and ran 60 Nix. Please advise.
Well, there's always Pact of Negation. I would advice you to at some time during your playtesting this week, experiment to find the ideal equilibrium. My calculations suggest that the deck in your meta should look something like this, but no amount theorizing can replace genuine testing:
But we need some pump too... Seeing how big this is gonna be, our 0/0s are just gonna die against their 0/0s....
I nominate Gaea's/Glorius Anthem.
Nah, just run Wrath. Assuming you have more mana, you'll be able to regenerate more of your creatures. I've generally found that enchantments are unessecary overhead. Those slots are usually better to hold creatures and poultices. You also have to realize that the success of this deck is based on its insane curve. A 3-drop would push the limits of the deck's statistical stability.
come one people...mirrorweave in the board...with march you can make all creatures poultices....and since we run about 140 more poultices then our opponnent you're gauranteed to have more in play
Good find. Its also important to note that animated Herbal Poultices can be sacced to regenerate other animated Herbal Poultices!!!!!1!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!!!11!!!!!1!! Just picture the look on your opponent's face when you regenerate your poultice after damage is on stack!!!11!!!!!!1!!!!!111!!!!!1 The combo becomes even more insane when you throw in Gleancrawler. While your opponent is begging for mercy, you'll be chucking hordes of dispensable 0-drops!!!1!!1
Control Match-ups could get quite lengthy. I'd consider splashing some recycle mechanics. I've seen Feldon's Cane throw sand in the metaphorical gears of more than a few decks, and with Pull from Eternity, you have a rather cruel recursion that will take you through the long haul. Having two colors will require a more expensive mana base, but it would be money well invested (I can hook you up for $.05 a land. See my thread). I'm planning on taking this to Worlds, so please keep a relatively low profile on this. Also note that I dropped the Islands; they're just too broken. Chivalry isn't dead, you know:
You know you're a rock when...
2. Buy 12 Mountains and 12 Forests
3. Build deck.
4. Buy drinks for everyone at the tournament.
