On the other, I’m a huge fan of all these buildarounds in honest-to-god hybrid slots. Very cool design, especially if there are commons to bridge the different combinations.
Simply making a 2/2 isn't enough for a 6 mana planeswalker, IMO. These are stats that I'd expect from a 5-cmc walker like Liliana, Death's Majesty. I think new Ugin is around big Vraska / Liliana level. I consider those all average compared to the stronger 6-cmc walkers like Elspeth / Chandra / Will Kenrith.
I think you’re right in cubes that push aggro and dumb combo decks, but in cubes running Thragtusks and History of Benalias, Big Vraska is apparently pretty good. This looks outright better on the back-foot, which is where I think a 6-drop has to be measured.
I suspect those will respectively be too unreliable or inefficient, and White will have the only unembarrassing (albeit unexciting) Average-Case Scenario.
All the walkers that + to make tokens are good, Ugin’s other upsides seem good, and colorless is a big advantage. This is exactly the kind of generic value midrange card I don’t like, but I struggle to see a good reason to run Big Elspeth/Vraska/Liliana before running Little Ugin.
Now I want green 5s that work along the Surrak, the Hunt Caller plan, and this kind of splits the difference between Nissa, Vital Force and Overrun, putting a body on an open board and multiplying damage when there is board presence.
Now I like this card, but goddamn this limited looks rough. I thought all the planeswalkers would mean we’d get pushed Aggro to hold them down, not a ton of big butts and lifegain to enable them
This seems the best aligned with cube so far (still haven’t seen Oketra)
Doubling spells is a relevant build-around ability.
Tough and evasive enough to be a control wincon.
Blue is probably the best able to turn the tuck into actual recursion.
Good stats for dumb goodstuff midrange.
I also like that it adds variable gameplay and occasional upside to effects like Looters or Slowtrips.
Blue’s a tough color to break into, but this card seems to have the best angles as a cube card so far

If I ran a cube that was big enough to run Thran Dynamo and Hedron Archive and Everflowing Chalice, and still want more 4-mana mana rocks, I’d consider this along with Sisay’s Ring and the Converge Chronomaton dude. But tapping on ETB factors pretty big in my Dynamo/Gilded Lotus play patterns

I want Red to be awesome and Green to be somewhere between a second Tooth and Nail and second Green Sun’s Zenith.

Pretty sure Verdurous Gearhulk and Wolfir Silverheart will both have better average case scenarios though.
