The most recent preview highlighted the tribal nature of some of white's limited strategy, and hinted at more changelings beyond the one so far, which leads me to believe one of the most powerful changelings, Mirror Entity, might make the set.
Both are very strong hands for the decks that they represent. The top one can win the game turn 1, and the bottom one can't win the game until turn 3, but I'd absolutely feel more confident playing with the bottom one, wouldn't you?
Didn't see anyone else post this yet. Seems to be the only "mill until land" so far that one can use to target his/herself which I guess is noteworthy, incase anyone wants to build a landless deck in which they can fill their graveyard for only 3B.
What if it were, say 4th Ed forward? That way none of the hugely expensive and powerful cards would be in. There'd probably be a small ban list (Probably Necropotence off the top of my head) but it sounds like a pretty low power level. Could be fun.
I meant a Deck with no Mana... Sorry I didn't mean to be mean, I just don't really get it. A hand where you can lay your starting hand on the table, in simpler terms, is what I meant. I suppose the chances where that would win, though, unless it wasn't against the rules to put 60 memnites in your deck, would be next to zero.
I actually built a deck in Modern with this exact premise in mind (The idea of a deck that is literally incapable of producing mana). I've never actually played it against an opponent, and I'm sure its success rate is quite low, but I think it could steal a random win or two, and it's pretty funny.
Not that its a good card or anything, does anyone else dislike this card for the reason of it shouldn't have seen print when even maro thinks its a bad idea?
This worries me a bit too. There are still only 3 cards that I know of that get cards back from exile without putting them there in the first place (Pull from Eternity, Runic Repetition, and this). So I feel like this is still ok since its so unique. But I worry that if this effect slips and becomes too common, then exile will become just another graveyard with a different name, and the irreversible nature that exiling a card is supposed to have will be lost.
I don't see how Leyline of Lifeforce isn't entirely just better in that deck.
Chrome Mox, Cabal Therapy, Dark Ritual, Dark Ritual, Dark Ritual, Balustrade Spy, Undercity Informer
Misty Rainforest, Tropical Island, Hermit Druid, Force of Will, Brainstorm, Daze, Spell Pierce

Doesn't seem like the kind of card that would sell out though.
