Because they don't interact with each other at all. I don't get what you are talking about.
The combo seems RIDICULOUS! Seriously, its so better than countertop or could just compliment it. It counters everything though. Krosan Grip always recieves counter now!
Now I get it. Too bad Helm of Awakening doesn't change the converted mana cost, just the amount they have to pay for it.

lol at Brainstorm and Ponder. Wishful thinking and all that.
Is it time for Draw-7 to make a comeback? With two lands in play, Time Spiral is a drawbackless Diminishing Returns, that only gets better as the game goes on. (Untapping a Tolarian Academy with two moxen and a Sol Ring in play is rediculous)
why though? a) i thought it was always banned
b) why?
the card is no longer abusable with the current errata.
where did u see this?
It was errataed out of playability. The only way to get any sort of advantage was through Mizzium Transreliquat. However, according to the wizards page, they are going to deerrata it, and apparently they think that made it too good, so to preemptively stop Flash Fiasco pt. 2, Time Vault Boogaloo, they are banning it.
EDIT: Yay! Top is banned in extended. Hopefully this means it's price will go below $5. (Today, I was sitting there thinking, "dang, am I going to have to wait until Top leaves extended in like 4 years before I decide that it's at a price I'll pay for a dinky 1-mana uncommon?" Apparently, wizards heard me, and came up with an answer)
A shot question about Multiplayer here, as it is stated in; Am I able to concede a Multiplayer match to prevent somebody gaining a benefit from it? For example I´m on 5 life and one of my opps sacs Kokusho or when he tries to kill me with a spell like Life Drain for 25 mana ???
Hey Finn, I'm liking your unbridled enthusiasm for Flickerwisp (especially the removal of a Standstill for your turn!), but answer a couple of things for me of you would:
- How agressively do you mulligan to get a opening hand with Vial? And against what color/type decks? (Like, would you keep a hand with: Plains, Plains, Samurai, Angel, Angel, Mangara, O-ring...I know it totally depends on the deck you are playing against) Now, this isn't the best 7 at all, but quite often when I mulligan I draw 6 that are WAY worse, or, 6 with 1 land that's a Port, etc., etc...
I wouldn't mulligan. As long as you draw another land (hopefully a Karakas) you can play everything in it. It has multiple angels + removal, which helps against goblins and thresh, it has samurai which is good against ichorid, and is basically solid against anything but storm combo, and if you aren't running true believer main, then you can't mull into anything better.
On another note, I missed the USA v Argentina game and am incredibly disappointed. Was it a good game or another USA blow out?
It was interesting. The first quarter was a major blow out by the US, but in the second and third quarters Argentina came back, and at one point were down by six. However, the US regained control and won by 20.

Basically, it doesn't work.

lolwut? Vindicate costs exactly the same as O-ring, mana wise. Moneywise, O-ring wins by a lot.
Does nothing. Slide has a triggered ability, not an activated one.
Yes, that is allowed.
Finally.
If you combo out on turn two or three they won't have enough mana to play both counterspells.
@emildn: Is the singleton Cabal Ritual helpful? Have you tried it as a second Lotus Petal or a singleton Infernal Tutor instead?

Also, they might have wanted to perfect the technique in case it didn't work and wrecked the card.
