As the art books tend to have plot/lore stuff they sometimes can't fit in the novel I'm hoping now to lean stuff like what happened with Sorin and Nahiri coming to a truce or what ever Ashiok was doing.

I too hope they do something like that (which should have been done already with the WAR online chapters, in truth...)

They have also said a few times they rules isn't hard rule and they are willing to break them. An angel walker is a when and most likely hone they can figure out a story they like (and thats markable) to introduce one. Karn, Ob and Tibalt are examples of this.

Also where are you getting sphinx can't be walkers? Its just angels and demons typically (dragons and hydras are held back some by being unintelligent).

This isn't really important, tho, since we like only human planeswalkers. Can't wait to see Ikoria, the so-called plane of monsters, where we are gonna have our umpteenth human PW.

World building and plot summary =/= real prose.
Mirage Block: Am I a joke to you?
Mirage block was literally a summary, some character portraits with information, and some worldbuilding. And was also the first triple set. Couple years before Thran.
Pretty sure that Mirage and Visions got only backstory (albeit with a very pretty CYOA minisite), while Weatherlight got some short stories in the Rath and Storm Anthology

I'm frankly disgusted by the reaction of some of the community. I have seen people attacking Weisman under his tweets saying he is a "crap writer" and a "terrible person overall". People claiming "freedom of speech" and "right to voice their disagreement" as an apology to behave like stupid jerks bashing the author in a rude and arrogant way. People writing below every single status and tweet repeating tirades about Chandra and Nissa.

People goes crazy about shipping. I really couldn't care any less, but there are many out there that watch shows just to see which character could be put in a relationship together (a lot of times without caring if they are straight, homo or queer). They'll put romance in the story even when there isn't. Putting a romance in a story is always a bad thing, because there will be someone who'll be rubbed the wrong way. Magic did a smart thing in the past not putting romance in its story (or keeping it a minimum, like Gerrard and Hannah).

I can't find anything that supports Dominaria properly existed prior to Antiquities.

I belive Dominaria wasn't a thing even during Antiquities. Antiquities cards referred only to Dominia (the Multiverse); it was erratad to Dominaria much later.

Do any of the legendary creatures appear in the story?

Yup, I hope that we'll see the spirit of Gideon in some way (like when Odysseus visits Hades and meets Achilles' spirit), but I want to him to remain dead, if not his sacrifice would be moot...
I'm pretty sure that Elspeth will return, however.

    Thanks guys.
Unfortunately, with the return of paid books and ebooks, Wizards has apparently cut everything about free lore. There is no Player's Guide for Core 2020, and they didn't even put the 2019 Commanders' bios on their site... Sigh

Hi there, just a quick confermation. There isn't any lore regarding Modern Horizon, right? I mean, for example we don't know anything about Hogaak, the (until recently) king of Modern, right?

I kind of expected them to be added there upon release, but it seems that Wizards completely ignore it. Anyway, the product is out there, and the only unknown small commander is Grismold - Gerrard, Kerrick and Tahngarth are established ones with rich history.

Found Grismold in an unboxing vidoe! God bless people who look at everything they buy, instead of throwing it straight into the bin!

Oko walked to a plane Garruk was and Garruk saw Oko as a threat coming after him.
Eh, this still makes Garruk unable to understand who is stalking him and who is not, not really rationale as the last time we have seen him.

Soooo... Garruk is back to be a mindless hunter of Planeswalkers? Last time we've seen him, in the Monster short story, Jace found Garruk to be clean of the curse. Garruk explicitly said that if he would be leave alone, he wouldn't go on a murder spree: ""Because I am what I am. I'll kill if I have to. I may even," and there Garruk opened his mouth in a wide smile, "enjoy it from time to time. But if you and the others leave me alone, then you have nothing to worry about. That's the best deal I'm going to offer.""
And now he's back to be a corrupted beast that only travels the planes to kill other planeswalkers?

Thanks, but I have the 2019 ones, seen on Amazon Smile ... but I can't seem to find them on the Wizards' site, oh boy...

    Even better, many thanks!
By the way, you can confirm that the Core set 2020 doesn't have any player's guide, correct?

PS: I find really funny that his bio says that Chromium isn't the strongest of the Elder Dragons, and then both his cards are f***ing 7/7! Rofl
