  • posted a message on Help request: Commander blurbs
Hi all! Once again I'm asking for help to the community. I'm always been interested in Commander lore, contenting to read the commanders' bios presented on the site. However, I recently learend that the descriptions on the site about the 2017 Commanders aren't complete, and that the booklets have the full info. Could someone be so kind to provide here the complete info on the commanders?
And also, did the Commander from the previous years have their info on the site cut short? Thank you very much to everyone who will help me.

"So the Domina Multiverse, Un-Multiverse, and Sparks Multiverse are all separate, right? Are there any other Multiverses we should know about?"

Oh oh, I've just read the links above... Dominia and Un-multiverse I now of, but what is the Sparks?!?

Urza does a Illidan and revives.

Well the revision is when planeswalkers went from "Absurdly powerful mages" to "Near Gods whose physical bodies don't truly matter..except that they are used to having physical forms." wasn't it?

In a sense, yes. I believe however Teferi's cold was post revisionist (even if at the time he didn't know he was a PW).

Well, in a sense Nicol Bolas is a father... he himself said "I have sired whole races, populated entire planes, and then hunted them to extinction for my amusement." However, no "true" children for Nicol Bolas, he's not Deathwing.

Remember the two of our most black planeswalkers..were also Old Walkers, and..I doubt that pregnancy was a common thing among old walkers seeing as their physical forms were simply projections of their will and minds, it could be..problematic if you were to say..forget you were pregnant.

In prerevisionist sources, planewalkers could be pregnant (Kristina of the Woods and Jared Carthalion would have had a child in an unpublished comic)... granted, it never happened because it was never published, but if Teferi could catch a cold, I think a PW could get pregnant.

  • posted a message on Sarpadian Thrulls and Thallid
On the wiki, I see the diffused information that on "modern" Sarpadia the Thrull are the dominating species (that is verified) but they live with a Thallid population in Havenwood. From where does this information come from? From the sources linked to the various articles (like https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/tea-and-biscuits-pete-venters-2007-06-07) and from the flavor text of <c>Brassclaw Orcs</c> from the fifth edition, it seems to me that the other surviving race of Sarpadia, after the Thrulls, are those few orcs who escaped the Thrulls.
So, how we know that Thallids are still on Sarpadia? Perhaps just by their appearance during time spiral block? Couldn't that just indicate that they were just one of the past creatures bring in the present by the time rifts, thus not indicating uniquesly their surviving on "Modern" Sarpadia?

EDIT: Woops, nevermind, I've just found out that it comes from <c>Thelon of Havenwood</c> flavor text "The sight of my thallids still thriving is a bittersweet welcome to this cold waste." The topic can be closed, if nobody else needs it.

    Agreed.
The only alternative to complete disarray that I would accept, is if he returns to find the plane a perfect harmonious happyhappy joyjoy utopia, Stepford Wives style, to kickstart another mystery/investigation block.

You mean that the plane has been converted by the Selesnya?

I just realized that the race for Orazca is clearly the race for the One Piece.

I think that PW aren't summoned however, because a PW cannot summon another. I can understand what you mean, however, especially for the "old self" of the PW.

    Clockworking.

Test of Metal is canon after all.

    Ah ah ah, excellent!

So, I'm pretty sure everybody already knows that now all PW are legendary, so they follow the legend rule, i.e. you can have as many Jace you want in play, if they don't share the same name.
I know that there was already some lore problem with havin multiple cards of the same character (like the two Thalia), but I think that this was explained that you aren't really summoning Thalia, but her "image", so you can summon here from different timelines.
How this can work with PW? You aren't summoning them, you're calling them for help... How can you call for TWO Jace at the same time? I know lore is second (or third or fourth) to game mechanics, but still...

    A bit off topic question...
There have been villains in all colors of magic, but I cannot seem to remember a green villain (but Vorinclex)... Am I missing something?
