Nephim of Sold Souls- Nice. Death Touch is a great Touch on a black Angel, as is resurrecting out of the opposing yard. 10/10

Serrum Riverbender- This guy works well. The only thing is the +0/+2 that it gives the defender. I would be a lot cleaner if it just gave the "can block any number of creatures" ability, considering the blue ability doesn't (and can't) give +2/+0. Symmetry isn't a requirement, but if it isn't there it better have a good reason not to be. I'm just not seeing that reason here. Also, I'm not sure why this guy feels legendary. He's good, but you could have listed him as an uncommon like the guildmages and I wouldn't have blinked an eye. 7/10

    Grotheb, Skyclaw Elder 1RUG
    Artifact Creature- Viashino Wizard R
    Flying
Devour Artifacts 4 (As this enters the battlefield, you may sacrifice any number of artifacts. This creature enters the battlefield with four times that many +1/+1 counters on it.)
On Alara, one could become a dragon simply by having the proper tools.
    3/3

Another legendary card from the combined Alara.

    Singularity 2WW
    Legendary Enchantment M
At the beginning of your end step, put a vortex counter on Singularity. Then, each player exiles a permanent they control for each vortex counter on Singularity.

Sure, it's just a fixed Smokestack. That said, Smokestack would be a really neat card without the nonintuitive stacking triggers or the ability to perma-lock people out of the game.

IIW: Fix another old card with unintended rules issues. You can retheme it if you like.

    Called Shot
    2R
    Sorcery R
As an additional cost to cast Called Shot, exile all nonland permanents you control, your hand and your graveyard.
Each players life total becomes 1.
Shuffle your library, and draw a card.

IIW: A card based on the Pro Tour

Loreweaver- It's good, but the plus ability is super annoying. Attacking a planeswalker is the primary way decks have to interact with them, so taking that away is at best annoying. Granted, the other abilities aren't that exciting, but is that really a selling point? 7/10

    Artimancer's Forge 1UG
    Artifact Enchantment
Whenever you cast an artifact, draw a card.
Whenever you cast an enchantment, draw a card.
The artimancers have new vistas of creations by fusing their magics

SHIELD- I like it. I don't know if it needs to be green though, that's an effect every color would like. And unless the set calls for it, colored artifacts aren't something for everyday use. 9/10

So, the M12 has a rare cycle of 7 drops that ETB with a restricted vintage card.

    Angelic Arbitrator 5WW
    Creature- Angel R
    Flying
When Angelic Arbitrator enters the battlefield, each player chooses a number of lands he or she controls equal to the number of lands controlled by the player who controls the fewest, then sacrifices the rest. Players discard cards and sacrifice creatures the same way.
    4/7

    Mindmelter Dragon 5RR
    Creature- Dragon R
    Flying
When Mindmelter Dragon enters the battlefield, each player discards their hand and draws seven cards.
    6/5

    Lifeblood Hydra 5GG
    Creature- Hydra
    Trample
Pay 1 life: Add 1 to your mana pool.
    7/7

Next: You take on a member of this cycle.

Inter-Dimensional Machination is interesting, and certainly unconventional. Problem is, 99% of the time it's just 6 for 12 1/1s. I mean, what's the likelyhood that you aren't going to have a least 12 cmc in your sideboard? And be playing this card? I also don't like artifacts that are really just colorless sorceries in disguise. This literally does nothing once it's in play. I'd say it'd be better costed around 10 without any limit. That's still only about storm herd level. 6/12

    Firebreath
    RRRRRR
    Legendary Creature- Dragon Elemental M
    Flying
Creatures have "R: This creature gets +1/+0 until end of turn."
Whenever a Mountain is tapped for mana, its controller adds to his or her mana pool.
    Fire began from its whisper.
    4/4

    Next: Another card from the
    Rune-Scarred Demon,

    Sphinx of Uthuun cycle

    Jalum's Bet :2mana::symr:
    Instant U
Target opponent looks at the top three cards of your library and separates them into one face down pile and one face up pile. Choose one of those piles and put it into your hand and put the other into your graveyard.

IIW: A card that uses division.

    OmegaLegacy-
That's really more an amalgamation of the cards on your list, but fails to have the simplicity of the cards you say you like. I mean, granted, Akroma has a lot of abilities, but she still has only 12 words of rules text. And Solidarity seems like a bit of overkill on a card that already costs 6 white mana, right? Not like you're going to be playing a ton of off color knights in your knight deck. Finally, Singularity is one way to implement a legendary spell, but A)Why does this spell need it? and B) Isn't it easier to say "You may only cast a spell named Ascension of Knighthood once per game." than all that?

    Rudyard-
A Green high tide/bubbling muck, eh? Of course, you don't even need to untap your lands to get value out of it, which is nice. Balance issues aside, why does this card feel green or like Pollination? Pollination would seem to support new growth, the creation of seeds, etc. Not a short term gain. And really, while ritual effects are avalible in Red, Black, and even blue, they don't feel all that green. What does feel green is Early Harvest, which does basically what this does at 3 more mana. Not exactly, but close.

    Necroticah-
This card seems really insane. All of my sac lands can massively accelerate me at any point in the game? Doesn't seem hard to have 8 mana on turn 4 with any two sac lands, which puts you so far ahead that giving your opponent extra lands in hand doesn't seem to matter. The cards you give me to reference are quite strong, but more because they are lands that provide flexability. This card just seems like a huge arms race, because the advantage of spending a few turns ramping with them massively outways giving your opponent a few lands.

    Oculus-
Resonator Druid really strikes a cord with me. It appeals to multiple player types, is simple, and provides some interesting choices. It's a fun build around me, a cheap fatty that enables fatties and priced aggresively enough for tourniment play. Really a solid card.

    bloodyspasm-
Interesting, but I'm assuming that cards that untap at the beginning of your turn don't trigger this guy. So then, you've got a 3/3 for 4 that makes a 3/3 for 2G. Which is fine, but doesn't really get me excited like Garruk or Wolfbriar. He really just seems like a less exciting master of the hunt, who didn't make your list.

    Winner: Oculus.

    The Last Changeling (R/B)(G/W)U
    Legendary Creature- Shapeshifter R
    Changeling
The Last Changeling counts as every type of permanent. (Artifact, creature, enchantment, land, planeswalker and tribal are permanent types. You can only play one land per turn)
The Aurora left only one, so that one had to become all.

    5/5

Blessing. Granted it's neat, but could probably be an uncommon/common like the embraces. Auras that don't provide some sort of insurance against being 2 for 1'd don't do much for me, especially when I get wrecked if they kill it after I spend 4+ on the abilities. 6/10

    Jalum's Bet 2R
    Instant U
Target opponent looks at the top three cards of your library and seperates them into one face down pile and one face up pile. Choose one of those piles and put it into your hand and put the other into your graveyard.

    Sorcery
Destroy target permanent. That permanents controller may search their library for a permanent with the same converted mana cost as that card and put it onto the battlefield. If they do, they shuffle their library.

Cast a card from your hand without paying its mana cost. At the beginning of your next upkeep, pay the mana cost of that card or you lose the game.
