I'll disagree with those saying that the first image is a Fling variant. The focus definitely seems to be on the giant. Especially given Mr. Jarvis' mission of "making spells look like spells", I have to say it's a creature.
Could be a creature with a Fling ability, like Bloodshot Cyclops. He looks like a Goblin-tosser.
Interesting... Kamigawa block had a lot of flavour with the tribal theme but sadly it was more a case of Spirits or nothing (okay, maybe Snakes). Offering was a nifty try at pushing towards a tribal focus, so maybe they'l revive that as a tribal theme. Hey, it's better than Amplify.
It would sense for WotC to introduce the Tribal card type in Lorwyn (the set, not the block). It seems counter-intuitive to produce a batch of cards referring to "Treefolk spells" and the like whe the only Treefolk cards are creatures.
I wonder if they'll introduce Tribal lands which grant abilities to that tribe's creatures. Something along the lines a hybrid of Onslaught and Kamigawa lands: Wirewood Lodge meets Boseiju, Who Shelters All.

And the kithkin look possessed, deadset focused on killing something. Could be an example of Vigilance.

Did Unglued tokens have collector numbers?

[EDIT: Yes they did. Hmm...]
