    Ow
    B.F.M. (Big Furry Monster)
    Phelddagrif
    Wandering Mage
    Winter's Night
    Misfortune

A quick check of gatherer shows that those are all indeed real cards. As for value... the ones with a silver border are from Unglued and Unhinged and you may find a little value in the rarer ones, but not usually much as those are from a joke set and not tournament legal. As for the others... I'd suggest finding an online retailer and comparing prices there. I just don't know enough myself to tell you.

I just don't get this whole 'trap' thing... the type itself does absolutely nothing. It's like a pseudo-keyword, but as a type. All of them are just cards with alternate casting costs that trigger (not trigger per se but I couldn't find a better word) off something. Would this not have been accomplished exactly the same while just leaving 'trap' off the card?

    Example:

    Whiplash Trap :3mana::symu::symu:
    Instant - Trap
If an opponent had 2 or more creatures enter the battlefield under his or her control this turn, you may pay blue mana rather than Whiplash Trap’s casting cost.
Return two target creatures to their owner's hand.

Anyone think that MaRo was talking about "Splice without Arcane?" He's always going on about how he wished they had just done "Splice onto Sorcery" or "Splice onto Instant." It's less parasitic in this way, and a lot more fun , I think. Perhaps we will see this return in Zendikar? Just a thought....

This is exactly what I logged on to say. He's mentioned it so many times, I'm sure he'll fit it in somewhere.

Quite frankly, while I do disagree with the original post. The sheer number of "if you don't we'll spit in your food" responses is appalling.

I myself am a very generous tipper by most standards (I start at 20%). Quite frankly the sense of entitlement in here is disgusting. Don't misunderstand me, I believe tipping is polite and necessary. I have in fact gone back to a restaurant days later to give the waitress a tip, when I did not have enough the day before.

But at the end of the day a gratuity tip is optional. Again, I hate it when people don't tip. As much as any other time I hate people being rude. But this attitude that the servers will get revenge for a rude customer is worse then the no-tip. If a customer repeatedly refuses to tip, the restaurant has every right to refuse service.

Quite frankly both sides of this debate I have seen in here have some very unhelpful opinions.

I don't understand this... they have been doing this effect and similar for years. why are people so surprised. In fact I'd rather have either of those cards then this.

Yes, because M10 won't change the standard environment, and each color will not gain/lose different things.
It's a shame we found out about Wrath without knowing so much of the set. :/
It would probably hurt less then.

Most my disagree, but I'm not sure that we won't get some wrath like replacement other then the 6cc one in M10. I'm sure this set has been tested into the ground by the FFL, and they know exactly what they need. Seeing some conditional Wrath of God effect wouldn't surprise me at all.

At least now we can start checking who got it right in the old thread

    http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=155782

    Mine from that thread

Well I'll take a crack at it.

    Air Elemental -- Out
    Bog Wraith -- In
Drudge Skeletons -- In (Good intro to Regen)
Fear -- Out (Gone along with Regeneration. Too little effect to justify Aura)
Giant Growth -- In (Simple effect good for limited)
    Giant Spider -- In
Goblin King -- Out (Lords are done differently now)
Grizzly Bears -- Out (God I hope so. I have nothing against vanilla, but they need to let this one go.)
Howling Mine -- In (Good for casual, good for Johnny)
Nightmare -- In (Awesome all the way)
Orcish Artillery -- Out (Very confusing to new people)
Regeneration -- Out (As with Fear, needs a better effect to justify Aura)
Rod of Ruin -- Out (But I agree with previous statement that the Granite Shard cycle would work quite nicely... even if I do hate Crystal Shard)
Samite Healer -- In (Easy to understand damage prevention)
Scathe Zombies -- In (Flavorful, with creature type that matters)
Wrath of God -- Out (This needs to go. if simply so then can experiment more with this effect in expansions. Everything they make always gets compared to this and everyone ends up running Wrath of God anyway. Freeing up this design space will be a very positive step.)

That's pretty much how I feel. I'll give it a couple days but I expect my collection will be up in the sales section soon...

I think you guys are being pretty dramatic... there's plenty of these changes i do and don't like. But even the combat damage one will sort itself out. We'll adapt and make new strategies.

Combat damage not using the stack? wow. but whatever we'll get used to it.
The dual land not working on turn one was the reason so many idea were struck down in Speculation. Interesting to see that's how it panned out.

Edit: very sad that lifelink no longer stacks... no i guess Genju of the Fields isn't a crazy life gainer anymore.

It seems pretty clear what the last second alteration of the art was from this...

It looks like the artist added in another undershirt here in the middle.

The thing that concerns me here is that Planeswalkers art always poke out of the frame... and the only thing that looks like it would poke out is the Staff. Unfortunately the staff would poke directly into the Mana Cost.

Honestly they have done this to a number of even recent mechanics.

I've made a mental list before but I'll just use whats i can think of quickly.

Conspire would have been much more flexible at Conspire #
Instead of being stuck at 2 they could have land-fetch slightly over-costed with conspire 1-2. Or even a huge spell effect with Conspire 4-5

Threshold could certainly be made to Threshold 7. To allow for other #'s
I believe this has been discussed before but it would open up A LOT of cool space.

Well everyone is different, but in my experience, parasitic relationships like this don't last too long. Obviously we only have what you have told us to go on, but it certainly doesn't sound like a healthy relationship.

Weather or not this can work probably has as much to do with how willing you are, as it does the reason for her psychological hangup. Are you willing to put a lot of your time and feelings aside while this continues for an undetermined amount of time. Again not knowing either of you makes it hard to say anything specific, but this can easily turn into a very co-dependent situation. Her self-worth measurement may be something as simple as having a rough year, to depression, to a deep-seeded emotional problem. Not knowing what she is like makes it impossible to tell you weather this is some silly thing that will blow over the longer you are together, or if it's just a maturity thing that will go away over time, or even something as drastic as therapy.

I feel silly trying to give all this out without knowing either of you. Because most likely it is 90% wrong. But just throwing out all possible things to think about, since you asked :).

Here's one of the alters that will be up for grabs:

Haven't posted in a while but I had to pop in just to say... THAT is how you alter Ajani Vengeant. Hands down my favorite of that card. Something about it just looks so right.

I think the art is OK. It's not great, but in card it's not that bad.

    MSE mock-up looks OK.
