I second the whole 'end of an era' thing - at least vs the whole 'end of the world' argument. I believe the RPG Shadowrun was based around the fact that a new 'cycle of mana' would start in 2012.
Although I don't think something like that's gonna happen, I'd still like to think that it might mark something signifigant...

Did you get the new expansion for H5? I haven't gotten it yet but i want to. (incidentally, the memory leaks in that game are terrible).
I bought The original and Hammers of Fate as a 2-pak, and I really don't want to buy the same two games again just for the third. Mebbe I'll look at the little esoteric game place we have here in Melbourne...
Just finished Super Paper Mario, now playing Cooking Mama occasionally with my wife on Wii, and revisiting Heroes of Might and Magic V on PC (Sqaures instead of hexes? Still can't believe it...)
Is any of the other Wii-monkeys on the board here a little miffed with the lack of good games on the Wii? I don't know if it's an Australian thing, but I think they need to release, like, at least three decent games at once, or I end up finishing the one in a few weeks, and twiddling my Wii-mote until the next one comes out (Zelda, I'm looking at you, here!)
