Blue/black faeries is the best archetype in Lorwyn, with blue probably being the best colour. However, I find that faeries tends to be lacking in pack 3, so you should probably be looking to pick up 16-18 playables in the first two packs.
Green is probably the second best colour in Lorwyn (possibly red) and is fairly decent in Morningtide. If you are going to be playing green, look to go into Elves/Warriors and you probably want to supplement it with red. Treefolk is pretty bad and really needs to be underdrafted for you to get the goods.
Finally, this brings me to the best archetype in the format (imo): Kithkin. You'll be looking to go white/blue (blue gives you evasion and tempo) or white/green (green gives you solid beaters and combat tricks) if you play kithkin. You want to draft as low a curve as possible in this deck (i.e. playing 8+ two drops is not unheard of). However, white is extremely shallow in packs 1 and 2 and you should expect to have around 14 playables after Lorwyn is done. In Morningtide, white becomes insane, especially if you are playing kithkin, and you will pick up the bulk of your playables there.
My memory is still a little fuzzy about this format, but I hope that helps.
In game 4 of the Worlds 2007 semifinal match between Patrick Chapin and Gabriel Nassif, when Chapin cast Ignite Memories with four storm and Nassif at 9, which three cards were in Nassif's hand?
I am at 1 life on my main phase and am facing a lethal burn spell from my tapped out opponent next turn. I have Mass Hysteria and one land in play but other than that the boards are empty (except for my opponent's lands).
If my land is a plains and my opponent is at 1 life, I'd rather have Duregar Assailant.
If my land is a mountain and my opponent is at 2 life, I'd rather have Mogg Fanatic.
I think I have a solution, but no new puzzle. If (a) this is correct and (b) someone has a puzzle, then please post it, otherwise my solution is in spoiler so that someone else can solve it themselves.
1) Tap Lotus Vale for 3 green mana
2) Tap Argothian Elder to untap Wirewood Lodge and Lotus Vale
3) Use 1 green mana and Wirewood Lodge to untap Argothian Elder
After steps 1-3, you have 2 green mana and the board state is as it was before step 1. Repeat these steps to put 5,000,000,000 green mana in your mana pool. Then proceed to...
4) Use 4 green mana and tap Springjack Pasture to create a goat token.
5) Use Argothian Elder to untap Wirewood Lodge and Springjack Pasture
6) Use 1 green mana and tap Wirewood Lodge to untap Argothian Elder
You now have 1 goat token in play, 5 fewer green mana in your mana pool, and otherwise the board state is as it was before step 4. Repeat these steps to put 1,000,000,000 goat tokens into play and empty your mana pool. Then proceed to...
7) Tap Springjack Pasture and sacrifice 1,000,000,000 goat tokens to gain 1,000,000,000 life and add 1,000,000,000 green mana to your mana pool.
And you've gained 1,000,000,000 life. If the puzzle requires you to clear your mana pool, then you can repeat steps 4-6 200,000,000 more times, execute step 7 to gain 200,000,000 more life then mana burn for 200,000,000.
I hope this is right. (some of the steps are not exactly right in terms of making board states identical, but the gist of what I want to do is correct)
I work as a mathematics researcher at the local university and the level of fun I have fluctuates. It's like working on a homework problem except that it takes months and months to solve. When nothing is going on it is quite frustrating but every time you discover something it seems to make the frustration a bit more worth it.
I believe the answer to this one is Wall of Roots and Magma Mine which allowed infinite activations of the wall during the no longer existant "in-between turns step" which could then be funnelled into the mine which eventually went to your opponent's face. It doesn't work now because there is no window to get infinite activations out of your wall. If this is the correct answer then...

When you say non-green lands, do you mean "lands that do not produce green mana" or do you mean "lands that are not green" such as Dryad Arbor?
Also, I do not have a question of my own. If anyone has one that they would like to post, please do so.
Overall it's a good job.
- Do I have to play my instant now?
- Do all 20 other players have to die right away?
