Can you show me how the Shard of Esper would differ from the Shard of monoBlue?

The white unifies the inhabitants, the black is the force of ambition, as states earlier.
A mono blue shard wouldn't be focused on infusing every living thing with etherium. A mono blue shard would utilize the etherium, but certainly wouldn't force people to change parts of your body to etherium.
Not only that, I also think in the mono blue shard that there would be a division between the vedalken and humans. Two seperate "states" or "countries," if you will..

    Quote from Dr. Tom
All it takes is one idiot with a gun. Big business doesn't need to be involved.

If Obama wins, I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see one of those idiots take a shot at him.

The secret service wouldn't let Obama be in a position to be killed.
I'd imagine his protection would be better than than any president we've seen, just for that reason.

If those three mythics will be worth 50 bucks market value, I will lmao. Those cards shouldn't worth that much at all. They may be a little harder to get than regular rares, but if they aren't playable in most decks (like the three we've seen), they aren't going to be expensive.
Even if those mythics were regular rares, I don't think they would be some ungodly price.

They seem to be Johnny-ish cards to me, just like they said they would be.

But truly, we won't know until a month or so after Alara comes out.
(and only three have been spoiled)

  • posted a message on Elderly woman steals sex ed book from library
    Quote from Sakura
We had sex ed throughout school, every year. When I was 10 we were talking about STD's, condoms, homosexuality, abortion, child birth (we even had a video of a live birth and in highschool watched the Degrassi epsiodes where Spike got pregnant and had the baby). Parents were always made aware and given the choice of excluding their kids. I recall in the span between being 10 and 17 seeing only two kids not showing for these classes. I did elementary in Vancouver and highschool and junior high in 100 Mile House (small town). It was in Vancouver where parents kept the two kids out of sex ed, in the small town where people tend more towards the conservative, nobody flinched when sex ed was mentioned.

This was between 1985-1993, in Canada.

I know I come across as Anti-American alot of the time, I do not mean to. But when I see how Canadians are in regards to sex education, Evolution in schools, and gay marriages; the trouble the americans are having with what for us have been non issues for decades confuses the hell out of me.

    America is just overly-religious.
The three you pointed out (sex education, evolution in schools, gay marriage) and other issues (like abortion) are so screwed up in the country because people here want their religion to change the rules of the country.
Abstinence-only sex education happens here becasue the bible tells us not to have sex.
Evolution doesn't say we were made out of CLAY. (wtf clay?!?!)
Being gay in general doesn't mesh well with the bible.
and so on, and so forth...

Separation of church and state is supposed to be followed here, but it just isn't.

There are no good reasons why evolution shouldn't be taught, homosexual people shouldn't be able to marry, and children shouldn't be taught how to protect themselves when it comes to sex.
If America (note: I am American), and by "America" I mean the majority of America, opened their eyes and actually looked at facts and used something called LOGIC, there wouldn't be problems with crazy old ladies stealing sex education books from the public library.

EDIT: I don't have a problem with religious people, it's just... if YOU don't want your kids to learn about sex, then don't let them learn about it. But don't take that opportunity away for the parents that want their children to learn about it., ya know? Wink

  • posted a message on how do YOU teach magic?
    I agree with above poster.

I've notices picking up some of the starter decks from the core set (the 40 card precons) and playing with them focusing on rules works well. Do that for a few times, then bust out some white border sucky cards and let them edit their decks (with you over looking them) until they are 60 cards. Play with these decks a few times.
Then after that, buy a regular precon, and play with that.
Eventually they will either try to make a deck on their own, or edit their precon and make it their own creation.
Worked for my girlfriend and a few other friends.
Now they can even beat me. Ahhh apprentice being the master. Such a Sith way of doing things.. Wink

I'd vote for "Oh no, Mr. Frodo" IF the art was altered to LOTR, but since thats a kithkin, I'll have to wait for a more neutral idea Grin

To alter Unmake to LOTR: Make the yellow eyes look normal.
    There!
