Is a DS really worth it? What are the games, predominately? (ie. shooters, racing, adventure, rpg, etc)

Well, I am here for now. I'll remain Duke though, I like this name, and perhaps it'll serve as a reminder of the need for humility in things.

    So, to business!

In other news, I scored another rare game today. Lufia: The Ruins of Lore. And the collection only grows!

    What's that one? I don't know Lufia.

More than a little bit Alacar. Much shamed, that's for sure. Frown I need to break my habit of punishing myself, then lying so no one knows I hurt myself. v_v

In other news, this is my account to stay I think. I'll get around to personalizing it shortly. Just need a little blurb...

*sigh* I owe this to you all.

"Hey guys. Sorry about the events of yesterday. Wasn't my intention. Basically, my folks got pissed that I spend too much time online, and decided to restrict my net access to one hour a day. MTGS was cut, since they don't like message boards much. They've also changed my account password, so I can't even log in.

I also have a friend that I convinced to join MTGS a few days ago. He told me he liked it, and found this place called the Coffeehouse (he LOVES coffee). If you know him, you can talk to him and stuff. Mike's a cool guy. Wink "

Everything there is true, save this, which I didn't tell you earlier Omna. I worked around my father's ban. I did it yesterday, with a friends (the aforementioned, Mike) assistance. He had made this account for me already, and I've been using it since then.

I have no excuses. I have no apologies. I have only this: I... am a fool for lying. I should have known better.

I wanted to be a better person, you each deserve it. On the BD account I was stupid and foolish, and a COMPLETE ass far too much of the time, and it was wrong, but I couldn't well change. It was a 2,000 post account for God's sake! That's HOW I WAS, and I was wrong. I wanted a fresh start, under a new name, something that no one would know was me.

I could have done it too, save for one person wh figured it out. Yukora PM'd me and said it was wrong, and I needed to come clean. He was right.

There you are. My lies and foolish decisions laid bare for all to see. I don't expect forgiveness. I don't even expect you to talk to me again. I don't deserve it. I've only made things worse with this, though I only wanted to be a better person, and a better friend to you all. I've made a terrible decision, and now I'm stuck with it. My other account is not accessible, due to it's changed password, which I do not know. If you'll have me, I'm here. If not, I understand, and will leave you all alone. Just say the word.

God forgive me, for I have done you all wrong.

Amen indeed, brother. May the (holy?) trinity of Photon, ethersphere, and Mamelon shine, and the (sacred?) pair of Arguas and Omna remain forever, and the One True Assistant Alacar (his highness?) reside forever and ever.

The what? Who? You're royalty? I figured I was the only royalty around these parts. Frown

edit: Duke: d20 Modern is like.. a unique brand of d20. While not entirely unrelated to D&D, it's a little underpowered in comparison, and is basically set in a 'modern/tech' world instead of a fantasy. It can lead to some good adventuring (I distinctly remember a custom Half-Life campaign I had made, and I still want to consider running on the P&PI)

Oh. So, like lasers, and spacecraft, and bionics? Or more current technology, like guns and bombs, etc?

After reading the first page over, this looks really awesomely cool. I am SO in. This has a bunch of players it seems, so if you need just running help, I DM a D&D game every few weeks, so I know a little about RPG's. Not so much this kind though. Great idea by the way! Real cool!

I also am planning on picking up a PSP this month for Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology, D&D Tactics, and PSP rerelease of Rondo of Blood. Furthermore, there is rumor of a SO1&2 remake for the PSP, so that is enough incentive for me to get one.

Anyone else know of any good games for it? I already have two copies of the original VP, so don't suggest VP: Lenneth.

I personally like Star Wars Battlefront 2 and X-Men Legends 2: Rise of Apocalypse for my PSP enjoyment. A nice shooter, and some fun superhero action. I've been eying D&D Tactics, but am not quite sure if I want to get it yet. Been thinking about it though. If you do, let me know if it's any good.

Also, you mentioned you play d20 Modern? I have always wanted to play it, but no one I know runs a game of it, or is interested. Is it good?

Oh, I'm in total agreement on the awesome of G1 transformers, wamyc, but don't knock the new movie; it was so awesome, it deserved to be seen in the theatre by me 3 times. Not many movies that can do that.

For what it's worth, the Transformers Movie was quite awesome. I loved it, and want to go see it again (damn money). I never really got into the TV series though. Was it really cool?

I'm thinking of getting a Nintendo DS, and getting Pokemon. It'll be the first pokemon game I ever bought, so.. any suggestions on which one I buy? Diamond or Pearl?

I read up a bit, and saw this. I tried out the newer ones... and didn't like them much. I mean, they're nice and stuff (real clean lookin), but they seemed too complex and stuff. Were I a new player, and I could stomach the old graphics, I'd go find a copy of Red/Blue, and play that to completion. It's cheap, and a GREAT intro to the genre. Just my thoughts though. >_>
