Delver looks like card to ban. It's just crazy, thet the best creature in standard, and the most popular is 3/2 flying... blue creature for U.
Tournaments results don't lie...
While some offer some good designs (need some tweaking definitely), it is highly unlikely theat they will make a new set of Titans with very similar stats and mechanics... it simply reduces the uniqueness of the Titans, especially they are deemed to be Mythic.
Yeah, but we must consider market value of "titans". People like new stuff, but it must look like old ones (just look on that crappy iphone X).
***** Titan 6 cmc
creature - giant
(core set ability)
ETB and attack triggered ability
6/6
Personally, i think titans are out. And we get some new cards, or reprint of staple instant/sorcery.
can someone post examples of why modern has such big ban list?
especially im interested in:
Ancestral vision
chrome mox
cloudpost
dread return
golgari grave-trol
green sun zenith
mental misstep
ponder
preordain
punishing fire
sensei's divining top
stoneforge mystic
sword of the meek
umezawas jitte
wild nacatl
there is no explanation in first post. (well there is 'something' but nearly nothing.)
I heard a rumor...:
'There is possibility that core sets will last for two years instead of 15 months, with new core each year. This change will probably be applied after next core rotation (so each new core would be legal for 24 months,).'
As for now, cores are not so core anymore :/ With new stuff each year, rotation is just too fast, and playerbase is frustated by this fact. Cards lose value too fast, rookies quit with rotations... thesse kind of problems...
I didn't post this in rumor mill because i have only words and no proofs. Maybe someone on this forum could confirm this? (im looking at you, rumor mongers). Or maybe someone can decline it as impossible.
No. If you buy it just for possible price spike it's just not worth it. Unless there is some new uber deck in modern... with snapcaster ats.. (hint, hint).
It's classic "oh we are sold now, but come back again in next week for it, and take 2 bucks more... :)' situation. Which, i don't think is something bad...
I still prefer L5R's full arts to Magic or Pokemons. A large part because L5R knows its customers hate foil cards (they had them for a while but stopped them due to demand). And because they are given out if you collect enough tokens in your booster packs and mail them in (the 16th card isn't worthless T_T).
They were for a 2-Headed Giant tournament in the UK that was cancelled.
They were given out at a few smaller events in the US and that was it.
I was fortunate enough to run one of them: Wizards randomly donated them (and some other swag) to us at Anime Expo 2009 for our relatively small (32 people?) free standard tournament. All in all, the prize pool was really insane given there was no separate entry fee (beyond the convention badge). I think first got like 8 packs, a DVD box set, a T-shirt and the promo.
Actually, they stopped printing foil versions due to change of publisher. Old, shiny promo cards (that are still legal and playable, of course) have really high market price (well, it's nothing like mtg prices, but still).
I think that Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind promo was really great. After Eldrazi, it was really only matter of time before they do something like this again...
They need to start considering certain CORE cards, such as the duels, more or less STANDARD-to-stay, meaning that they are repinted 90% of the time.
I'm sick of all my core cards having a 1 year expiration date on them. Make cards more playable, not less playable.
True. Totally true.
There should be some standard rare dual-lands, printed in Core set. Maybe with different arts in each core, so they would't drop so heavy on price...
I mean, what's the point in 'CORE Set' if its not a core??? If so many cards are useless after a year!!! Expert sets have 2 years life spin at least, 4 if there is extended somewhere (personally i don't believe )
You are overreacting. Maro said 'IF and when'. not when... If there would be some movie or tv series, we would know that not from him, but from company that would do it.
@sarnatch'ed
I would say that we can exclude mechanic from Ravnica Block. I mean, seriously, it would be third one...
Buyback looks logical to me. Kicker is great and easy too.
Imagine combination of eldrazi spawn and phyrexian oil:
Phyrexian Extinguisher :sympw::sympu::sympr::sympb::sympg:
creature - eldrazi mutant
annihilator 1
.....
I can easily see dwarves with ability to tutor fortifications or destroy lands.
Tournaments results don't lie...
But you just did two cards for weak side???
1/1 creature is weak,
creatures with power less than 2 are weak too.

I was gonna say it too.
Seriously, communism is not that bad. I mean there are other, worse systems...

Vindicate: it would need multicolor block to reprint this i think. Innistrad is definitely not multicolor...
