I'm currently running a Mimeoplasm Deck. Biggest achievement so far is I survived a game with 2 Relic of Progenitus. For a graveyard centric strategy, having a lot of anti-graveyard cards in your playgroup requires a lot of baiting.

My mid to late-game favorite combo in the deck is Mimeoplasm into Triskelion + Lord Of Extinction for counter bonus. Can outright dispose of 2-3 players in one go. I'm planning to insert a poison wincon as well (Mimeoplasm into a big Putrefax).

Once I get hold of Olivia Voldaren, I'm making a Steal Em and Sac Em BR Commander Deck.

    A diadem

And others. Dead aim is a possibility.

Could also be: I Am Dead

But Dead Aim is also nice.

This is a huge concern for me. Was that position entry-level?

I'm guessing it was. It was also a new position created at that time. To be fair though, the project they hired me for was at the development stage so I guess there wasn't much to go on. Plus, I only got to see the contract and job details midway through the first day. Didn't get to be oriented on my other responsibilities till the next day.

Are you familiar with medical mimeographs? The company I worked for publishes those and they make specialized issues like mimeographs for doctors, pharmacists etc. I was supposed to create content (like handy reference tables) for the mimeograph for nurses which would be their first of its line. We only managed to work on a few content before the project was put on hold though.

    Why is it a concern?

It's cool. But the first day was an information overkill: too many new faces, names and acronyms/initialisms.

Well that's a whole lot better compared to my first day on my first job. It was basically:

HR Person: "Here's your desk and computer. Here are a few reference materials. Now start doing what we hired you to do."

Me: Stares blankly at my computer screen, the empty cubicle and skims through the reference materials, "What the hell did I get myself into?"

No one checked up on me the whole day. So I was clueless the whole time.

*Just for context, they hired me as a content consultant for a line of publications used in the Medical field. They were developing a new specialized issue of the publication catered to certain professionals in the field (of which I am a newly licensed member) and they hired me because I have a background in writing. Sadly, no one immediately explained or instructed me with what content they needed for the publication. That part came WAAAAAAAAAAY later.

I want to put his up here... It's a set of remarks made by one of the top theologians in the world about the marriage battle going on here in NC: http://www.studentaffairs.duke.edu/lgbt/news

It should make your day, or at least make you feel really happy.

That was a nice read. As blue said, not a hint of religious argument in there. Just pointing out basic needs.

But but...everyone's idea of cute is different! It's impossible to decide!

Then we'll have categories then. Like, Magic: the Gathering's

    Twinky Timmy
Fuzziest Rune Claw Bear & Cub
    Vulshok Jock

    Hehehe.

Are you guys bothered by the art of invitational cards? I know they put the likeness of the creator in the art but can't they make it less portrait posed and more action posed? So far among them, Shadowmage Infiltrator is the only one that appears to be doing something in the art. Would raise the cool factor IMO. Right now, there's nothing "snappy" in Tiago Chan's card Snapcaster Mage.

EDIT: I correct myself, Rakdos Augermage is the ONE that is doing something then followed by Shadowmage Infiltrator.

Is it wrong I found the bickering over the art of Rakish Heirs entertaining? Though lots of insecure straight guys over in that thread.

I liked that the art was being defended by straight guys as well.

I like oogling fellow players...specially if they're in a tank top during a game. I miss dating a fellow MTG player though, since you can play then play ;).

    That is excellent. Flavor text...

No slinking in the dark for them, no _____ (luring? burning?) whispers. They claim their prey in the ____ (speed? something that ends in an "L"?) and glory of the hunt.

I think it really is "No slinking in the dark for them, no luring whispers. They claim their prey in the speed and glory of the hunt."

All this negative connotation on the term "****". All that means is you like to have sex, man. Whores are the ones who get paid for it. Wink

    What? Sept 10?

I'm turning 31 that day, so to hell with some Magic celebration. :p

Yeah, I do like it. Tongue It becomes an issue though when I'm being exclusive since it's the one impulse I seem to have little control of (I honestly have no other vices) so I just generally stay away from the temptation.

Advanced Happy Birthday then Manders! Remember, true age is not measured on a calendar. It's a state of mind Wink

    Step 1: Buy a Smartphone
    Step 2: Purchase Grindr
    Step 3: Have some sex

I immediately ended my post-relationship dry spell and returned to my ****ty, ****ty ways thanks to that app. Even went on actual dates, too, lest you feel the app is nothing but a hookup enabler. And that's just in my town of 75,000. I can only imagine the wondrous ease of connection to be had in a legitimate urban center.

I've heard of this Grindr thing and wanted to try it. Unfortunately, the smartphone I'm using is the 1 model the Grindr app didn't support for the brand. I figured it's for the better since I turn into a **** whenever I have access to these kind of things. Hehehe.

PS - Do we have a Facebook group? Maybe we should? Grin

PSPS - Is the Magic Celebration on September 10 for North America only? I'm not seeing any promotions in my corner of the world and I really wanted to play mini-master.

Totally out of left field, does anybody here have a contact in Seoul Korea? It's for work, we need to find a contact person there.

On the INN art, I just like that JJ acknowledged our demographic. Kekeke

Just finished reading that article. Honestly I can't wait until Innistrad, and the fact that I have a blood fetish is only half the reason.

Ooh...intriguing fetish. I can't wait for INN too. Loving the flavor of the world and I'm happy Lili is center stage for this set. Hope the block novel doesn't suck. I'm also praying the Liliana PW novel gets released soon. Been on hold too long already.
