*Reads the name of the thread* Hmm, wonder if this dragon will literally have an earthquake effect attached.
    Shame on me lol.

Knowing very little of Buldur's Gate (only played one game) if this is a rakshasa then shouldn't this be a demon like the others in Magic?

It could be because Demons and Devils have reversed roles between MTG and Forgotten Realms.

In D&D in general, not just FR, Rakshasa are fiends (devils).

D&D Devils encompass a much wider range of creatures than the MTG stereotypical 'naughty imp' depictions. Pit Fiends for example are devils, not demons.

I wasn't sure how much of D&D was considered Forgotten Realms Sigh... that was my bad assuming that FR was just considered the general universe oops. But friends who know more about the general stuff had mentioned the demon/devil thing before.

Is the weird backwards paw hand thing something specifically about this character or this race in the world?
That·s particular to DnD·s edition of Rakshasa . As far as i know the Rakshasa are a real myth yet the backwards-hands origin is a bit more arcane .

    Oh cool! Thanks

I have to say i much prefer the regular art for Tasha here, its just amazing, shame the borderless is the inferior one on this occasion (in my opinion!)

    ~Funk Pirate

I usually like the borderless arts less, but even though the main one is more realistic I really like the style of her in the borderless myself.

I also like the flavor text on the Basic Lands. It should be continued in every set.

I only really accept it because of the kind of set it is, but even then I'm not all about it. But you're a direct example that some people do enjoy this so I guess good on them for making the call ^.^

There's our Maro's Teaser revelation -> Tiefling Warrior. A 4/2 haste for 4 but really 6 to use its ability. Yay?

    'buster

Just if you use it the turn you play it, or did you misread the number? Not trying to be an ass just trying to understand the 6 lol.

Reading the text feels a bit like I'm having a stroke, but it actually checks out as straight forward and easy to understand heh.

4 mana to cast. 2 to activate. 4+2 = 6. If I didn't state it as such then I apologize.

Ok yeah I got it for first use, but wasn't positive that it was specifically what you meant. We're good now haha

Do you ever notice that those "alternative, free thinker, brave dissidents, innocent martyrs from the SJW police", that call the "Magic: the Pandering" actually NEVER shows up in threads that are conceptually identical to this, but just doesn't pick a minority that is actually persecuted (not today at least finally)? Like the Secret Lair dedicated to the left-handed people:
    https://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/magic-fundamentals/the-rumor-mill/825993-sld-april-fools-secret-lair-finally-left-handed

But, god forbid is we actually give any kind of visibility and sign of inclusivity of people that are actually hated and discriminated for just being born in a certain way (like LGBT or BIPOC people)? I know it sounds absurd but it's almost like that all this discrimination and resentment against those minorities could actually confirm and self-explains why those same minorities are target of discrimination and resentment in society for still (too) many people. What a curious coincidence huh?

People only cry pandering when it's something they don't like which is them outing themselves for what they truly are lol. Everything the company does is intended for some group of people to like, the trashy people just get butthurt about gay stuff.

It's going to be amusing to see how many people get triggered and complain that they are just trying to get people's money. It's literally part of their job as a company to get people's money, and inclusion is at least meaningful way of doing so.

    The first one has arrived

Magic the Pandering keeps on going.

It's pretty funny because I don't even see his comments otherwise XD when I noticed a pattern of him Just kind of being garbage I figured it would be best to ignore him.

I'm assuming that at the current time, they are only comfortable going full space theme with an un-set. Being that they test the waters with un-sets, maybe they'll do a premier set eventually if the setting is deemed a success, but I can't imagine it's in the current plans.
