I am looking to support the blink archetype in my cube a little bit more and I am wondering about eldrazi displacer vs flickerwisp
I had previously included displacer but cut him with the rest of my colourless matters cards.
having both of them competing in the 3cmc slot in the same archetype i think I only have room for one of them. I am more drawn to displacer because of the easier casting cost and repeatable instant speed effect. but flying is nice on a 3/1 body.
never ran carnophage as i prefer some of the other options over him.
I've been reading the walking dead comics since long before the show came out and I even did an art analysis project of the first comic in my English Comics and Visual Literacy class in university! havent been keeping up with the show lately though.
So I actually decided to do some research and learned that the art on braids, cabal minion was originally designed to be diabolic tutor! seems like she is saying "aha! I know just the thing!" which explains the hand and fits with the tutor.
After the card depicted Braids so nicely R&D gave Braids her own card in the set which she originally never had. And thats how we ended up with such a cool powerful card. now I will always use this art even if it gets reprinted because of the trivia!
with the theros thoughtseize though you are destroying your opponents hand!
Never run elder. He's been on the edge for me.
My least favourite arts are hero of bladehold promo... awkward anorexic but still jacked like a weightlifter with really bad 90's fake tits strapped onto a horse.... and then a surprising one that lots of people disagree with me is that I have never really liked braids, cabal minion What is she doing with her hand? holding an invisible gun? what is the setting? I didn't play back then I dont know the lore surrounding her but the art doesn't really give me any hints towards it.
I also dont like the mirror entity extra terrestrials.
It hits roughly 20% more creatures than pyroclasm in my cube which I feel is fair for one extra R. In an unpowered cube with a focus on creature decks i think its fine.
I'm hoping to learn more about the Raven Man when we go back to Dominaria.
Who's the Raven Man?
The Raven Man is the planeswalker(?) that introduced Liliana to dark magic and lead to her spark igniting when he tricked her into reanimating her brother as a zombie.
I have liked the angel so far. has done a solid job and has even been reanimated.
I have banned hexproof, shroud, protection, and indestructible from my cube. I also don't play any equipment in my cube which was more of a design choice outside of a "banning" per se.
Having these restrictions has given a nice personal twist on my cube and not having certain staples has opened up opportunities for other cards to be included since those slots are no longer occupied.
dont really like the new planeswalker rule. not going to run this card. nothing else to add.

I'd like to see Jaya Ballard come back... but a sexed up latex wearing dominatrix might not be in line with wizards current inclusiveness model.

Angel of condemnation for selfless squire
U
Supreme Will for impulse
Nimble obstructionist for stormbound geist
Champion of wits for talrand, sky summoner
B
Ammit eternal for xathrid necromancer
R
abrade for incinerate
G
ramunap excavator for gilt-leaf ambush
BG
driven // despair for reaper of the wilds
As a late inclusion, ammit eternal is making me go all in on the zombie tribal support and plague belcher will be joining the cube in pace of hypnotic specter
