Ok guys, you were right, Monastery Swiftspear isn't very good in this deck. At least not in a classical control shell. In MU where we need a clock, Rabblemaster seems like a better card (with SSGs, especially)
Swiftspears aside I'm gonna test this build for tomorrow local modern tournament
I want to try Return instead of Fallout, so I wouldn't get destroyed by pro-red sideboard plan and have some main deck answer to Etched Champion (I don't have pyrite spellbombs, sadly). To get some additional value I added a couple of Endless Ones and trimmed a couple of Relics. Maybe it's too cute, but we'll see.
Now when I have Endless One which I'm planning (keep hope alive) to cast for 7 at least once, I'm gonna try a 24x lands + 3x SSG + 3x Mind Stone configuration.
Hey guys! I've been lurking here for a while and finally decided to post my take on skred.
Boros Reckoner always seemed kind of clunky to me, so I switched it for Monastery Swiftspear. I like the fact that it's an early and very mana efficient threat which survives our pyroclasm-type effects. Prowess helps getting more damage from mana rocks and relics in matchups where clock is the factor.
Stormbreath/ P&K are the finishers of choice for the meta full of Path to Exiles
I've been shifting from mana rocks to SSGs lately, because t2 blood moon can easily win games on the spot.
