I mean we got time travel in this story and resurrection magic. So if they want him back it doesn't matter how dead he is they can always bring him back.

Plot twist, Bolas dies, Liliana brings him back as her zombie slave

When would spoilers start approximately for WAR? I see pre-release is April 27/28, so would it be 1st or 2nd week of April? PAX East is March 30th, so I assume a few cards will come out then.

If pre release is the 27/28th then spoilers should start the 8th.

Have t o say that the "Proudmoore" walker doesn't seem to have a mono-white color scheme. WU may be? But that would put too many Azorius planeswalkers in standard, especially if both Dovin and Teferi are still Azorius colored.

I also see her as WU, but like you said, there's way too many of those, plus she seems very soldier like which are usually mono W so I kind of shoehorned her in there.

I'm going to counter your prediction with my own,

    BR: Tibalt, Angrath
    WB: Sorin, Kaya
    BG: Vraska, Vivien
    UB: Ashiok, Davriel
    WU: Dovin, Teferi
    UG: Kiora, Hat Lady
    UR: Saheeli, Ral
    WR: Teyo, Nahiri
    RG: Domri, Arlinn
    WG: Ajani, Huatli
    U: Jace, Tamiyo
    R: Chandra, Jaya
    G: Nissa, Jiang
    W: Gideon, Proudmoore
    B: Liliana, Ob
    C: Karn, Ugin
    UBR: Bolas
    WUR: Narset
    BRG: Sarkhan
    WRG: Samut

While I'm more aligned with this prediction than the one before I hardly see Teyo as WR, he is described as using his shield-magic to defend his people and nothing in that resonate with Red (both in flavor and in mechanics), as I stated in another thread U and G already has given us a lot of defensive spells and effect granting hexproof and the like. IMO the only switch I'd do to your list is switch Teyo to UG and Hat-Lady (or maybe the other new girl) to WR.

My reasoning for him is that his magic reminds me of Gideon's quite a bit with his indestructibility and always protecting his friends and Gideon was mostly aligned with the Boros legion.

    BR: Tibalt, Angrath
    BW: Sorin, Kaya
    BG: Vraska, Hat Lady
    BU: Ashiok, Devriel
    UW: Dovin, Not Elspeth
    UG: Kiora, Nissa
    UR: Saheeli, Ral
    RW: Huatli, Nahiri
    RG: Domri, Arlin
    GW: Ajani,Samut
    U: Jace, Teferi
    R: Chandra, Jaya
    G: Vivien, Jiang
    W: Gideon, Teyo
    B: Liliana, Ob
    C: Karn, Ugin

That's even color distribution and takes 32 slots, leaving 4 spaces for three color cards:
    BRU: Bolas
    RWU: Narset
    RUG: Sarkhan
    UWG: Tamiyo

Edit: Locking in my predictions. It would be highly unlikely that it's completely accurate, but I bet it's not too far off.

Completing the Verges or Mirage fetchlands would be the perfect uncommon fixing for this product.

100% yes. Also the panoramas at common

Domri seems like such a waste of a planeswalker. He doesn't seem like the type that wants to visit other worlds and is just content staying where he is.

I dont know about the rest of the world, but my LGS is still trying to move the first pallet they received. (This is a store that stays open until midnight just to let people have a place to play magic most nights.)

Same for the LGS my friend owns. First shipment still on the shelf except for the Lord Windgrace one. But he needs to order all 4 to get that one so it's not worth it.

What I would expect, however, are walkers at rare instead of mythic. That shift would allow wizards to print over a dozen walkers (including a few key cards at mythic) in one set.

Haven’t they mentioned in the past that they were looking at or had looked at printing Planeswalkers at Rare again?

What are the chances we get some completely new Planeswalkers in the set? The description mentioned dozens of them coming to Ravnica to fight Bolas.

There is a new one on the cover of the Ravnica novel that has yet to be named.

The UMA short-announcement window only worked because it was UMA. If they're going to short-announce more products going forward, I guarantee stores will not like it. Using the response to UMA as a gauge for how this will work is a mistake, if that's what they're actually doing.

It's bad enough War Of The Spark hasn't even had a street date announced yet.

I don't think LGS are necessarily "left in the dark" as it is.

    They are.

My local owners hints at what he knows but says he isn't allowed to discuss anything until someone else brings it up.

I believe the entire supply chain has to be aware of products far in advance. I can't imagine any of that changing unless it's to shoehorn more product into the pipeline. In other words, even though WotC made UMA announcement later, it didn't change the timing of the supply chain.

They used to be. It was common that WotC would announce products, or at least street dates, several months in advance. This is apparently no longer the case, as the window has been getting shorter and shorter. And I don't believe your store owner knows anything significant in terms of a release date, because my store owner would know it then as well. And right now, we're kind of in a weird situation with scheduling other non-MTG events in that same time frame, because we don't know.

Shoehorning more product into the schedule like UMA is one thing, not even giving release info on normally scheduled products is another.

A very close friend of mine owns a LGS and I can tell you that he has no idea what's coming up. He saw this product for preorder last week or two weeks ago but has no idea what it is, what's it about or when it's getting released. He's just hoping it won't coincide with whatever Warhammer or Pokemon events he has scheduled.

do you or your friend know what the timeline normally is between stores pre-ordering product and it actually releases? as someone mentioned earlier in the thread, making changes to announcement schedules for marketing is one thing, but changing the time-table for supply chains is more difficult.

i ask because maybe it gives an idea when the product might actually hit stores versus when just the announcement is.

modern, given wizards/cfb doesnt give the community the shaft and bungle coverage, is going to be in the spotlight in march with 3 modern GPs.

Im at the store helping out right now. He thought I was talking about another product from a different game. Anyways, i brought it up today and he has no clue what i was talking about. Showed him the stream and we even double checked the preorders from the distributor and theres absolutely nothing. I think i just made him panic lol

Enemy cycles of some of the land cycles they've printed the Allied cycle of would definitely be nice. Especially the fetchable BFZ ones.

    This.

We are missing the other half of the cycles of Bond lands, Battle lands, Reveal lands and Bicycle lands. Bicycle would be my #1 for getting the missing half of the cycle.

I doubt they would print the enemy cycles of the Battle, Reveal and bicycle lands, they'd probably want to keep those for a standard release. It's more likely they'll print the Bond, Mirage feches and Odyssey filter lands in this product
