Yeah, they took it very well, told me they still love me and all that. So that's good. Smile Now the next step is to tell my friends and other people I know. It's going to be quite a long process I think. Any advice?

Glad they took it well. I can give you some advice by telling you how my uncle came out. Basically, what he did was he decided that on his 40th birthday, he was going to come out to everyone except his father. Then, after that was finished, he had this super gay party thing with all his gay friends. He met someone there, they went back to his place, and did the nasty no no. Then, my cousin's bat mitzva came around, and the whole family was going to be together, and my uncle brought his boyfriend to some of the gatherings. He was scared as hell, but he went up to his father and step mother, and just said it. He took it very well, and he even told my uncle's boyfried "Welcome to the family."

So it seems like the best way to do it is like a bandage. One motion. RIGHT OFF! Seinfeld quotes ftw.

Also, if any of your friends takes it badly and can't deal with it, well, it's time to find some replacement friends. So if I were you, I would just go for it. Good luck!

Hey Kraj, if you would, please add me to the list of friends of the gaymers, as I am not gay, however, I should like to support the group/website/not sure exactly what to call it therefore I put several possibilities following a slash/clan.

    Really?

At 12:00, I turn on a lamp. At 12:30, I turn it off again. At 12:45, I turn it on once again, and so on and so forth. Is the lamp on or off at 1:00? After?

Angered by my lamplighting shenanigans, an infinite number of demons hold a conference to decide when to kill me. The first demon announces that he will kill me at 2:00. Not to be outdone, the next one announces he will kill me at 1:30. The next one after that announces he will kill me at 1:15, and so on and so forth. When do I die?

The lamp argument is null and void, in my opinion, since you are operating very theoretically. Your body could never operate faster than the speed of light, and therefore, we have a limit, or a ceiling, to the speed you could turn the light on or off. Had you the ability to operate without a limit to your speed, you would have a lamp time machine, since you would keep turning it on and off faster and faster and wouldn't reach 1:00. All it proves is that physical operation at a speed that is faster than light allows for time travel.

Now I shall ponder the second one, and get back to you when I think of an answer.

EDIT: I think I figured out the demon problem. As the demons argue in such a way that requires them to count infinite numbers, they would keep missing their deadline. They would try to count down from infinity, hoping to reach the end by 1:00, but would fail, and would try to start again from 1:01, and another demon would say 30 and a half seconds, and so on. They would get more and more decimals, and would miss that deadline. They would keep missing these deadlines until I died of natural causes.

I should like to see opinions on these theories, and if someone sees a hole in one of them, please tell me. I am not discussing this for the ego, but rather the philosophy and science, so I will not be offended if you point out that one or both of these are wrong in some way.

Halo 3 is the obvious choice. Anyone that says otherwise is a retard. There. I said it. Once and for all. Give me an infraction. I don't give a god damn.

EDIT: It would seem as though we have several tards here on the boards. They are all retard spies from the other game companies. I'm the only one that can be trusted. Get Halo 3, then buy whichever other games you want. Do whatever the hell you want after, but first, you must get Halo 3.

Well since you don't care, I happily bestowed upon you a warning.

As do I. After all, if a Jew can't make a joke, who can?

And we wonder why terrorists target us.

If you still can't figure it out, it is because terrorists are crazy fundamentalists, but also, because if we can't look at a fun made up character without *****ing about his catchphrase, we are probably to feeble to ever fight back.

Feminists are mere annoyances, but it is really political correctness that is the bane of society.

I never, ever thought it could go this far.

I guess I shouldn't expect any more from Australia, God's special ed classroom. Although this sounds more like something we would do here in the USA.

Haven't heard anything in a while. Lets get this back up and running.

Please don't bring 2-month dead threads back from page 4, especially not with double posts that add nothing.

I went to a lecture by this guy named Stephen Pinker. Much of the lecture was about swear words, and how, when spoken, trigger parts of the listeners brain that make you feel "bad". I don't know the technical word, hence the quotes. Notice how we swear when we hurt ourselves. This is a evolutionary mechanism at work, and I shall prove it to you. Whenever you see someone on the ground holding their knee and shouting obcenities and breathing deeply, to you go close to them? The correct answer is no, you don't, unless you can help. So, it is a defense mechanism that keeps others away from you when you are wounded. The same is true for animals, who don't drop f bombs, but yelp and cry out.

Now that my scientific speech is done, I can go on to my personal beliefs on Standards and Practices and the FCC. For those of you that don't know, Standards and Practices is a group that works for a given network that tells the writers of shows what things they feel are inappropriate and should be taken out. I feel that while S&P is justified since it is their network and they are free to decide what they want on the air, the FCC is not. There shouldn't be a government run organization that that fines networks for saying "bad words". We live in America. Every single American was promised freedom of speech. If the government is allowed to fine people for saying things they don't approve of, then we have already begun to tread in the waters of Fascism. Our freedoms are being compromised.

If the government has already gotten away with limiting speech on the airwaves, what goes next? No more protests? No more assembly all together? Another era of McCarthyism, perhaps? Where does it end?
