I think I like Garruk's Horde here, since Advocate of the Beast ticks him up. (Yes, a super-late game thing, but still interesting.)

    Vote: Garruk's Horde.

Eternity Snare takes an eternity to cast, and the cantrip is a miserable payoff for Paralyzing Grasp.

    Vote: Harmonic Sliver.

Ooze to say we shouldn't take the rare?

    1) I have no MM on MTGO.
    2) My laptop's cooling fan died, so I haven't had any amount of access to MTGO in a week.

If anyone wants to take the reigns with Cockatrice, feel free to. I imagine that the MTGO route for MM is going to be a pain for most.

The possible choices are Avatar of Woe, Gemhide Sliver, and Castle Raptors. Avatar of Woe is probably the first to go--it is a sweet card, I can't deny, but it also costs 8CC the majority of the times.

Between the Sliver and the Raptors, I prefer Sliver. Flexibility is key, there are two Slivers still in this pack we might wheel, and we can pretty much go wild from a green-based deck. Mind you, a 3/5 flier is pretty obnoxious to get through.

Side note for Tolarian Sentinel--if it wheels, we might be able to do the dumb Reality Acid deck based on pack two.

    Vote: Gemhide Sliver.

I like Water Servant and starting to make a hold deep into blue. Try to avoid UB, since we're shipping several reasonable black cards.

    Vote: Mulldrifter.

Sorry about the off-and-on. Life's been a bit busy.

Also, as a heads-up, I'm more or less locked to not be piloting any decks for the old formats unless I played them on MTGO. Most likely I won't have cards for any of the super retro formats, and I most certainly didn't draft MM on MTGO.

I think we're sufficiently away from the initial question and this is already a redrafts vs. keepers thread.

Hardly humble, and we don't really need threads for this.

I can get behind that line of reasoning. We don't have too many significant artifact or tribal themes yet.

    Vote: Otherworldly Journey.

Keep the tone civil, guys. Anything further and we'll have to start breaking our the yellow/red cards.

Personally, this is my second favorite format (only behind Time Spiral block) to draft, and I think that it was a nearly perfect Limited set, bar one old friend.

    Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief

Being a rare instead of a mythic means you will be seeing her come down more often (and haunting you or your opponents proper). I've drafted decks in the format that played three Swamps and a Drana because I knew my deck, as it was, couldn't beat one. Couple that with the fact that black had Cadaver Imp for easy pick ups, and you can simply run away with games.

    ---
My personal favorite archetype in the format was Grixis Surreal Memoir. I vividly recall watching a replay of a guy with a Sphinx-Bone Wand who then proceeded to pick up all the value on his Induce Despairs, Vendettas, Heat Rays, and Staggershocks. It's a really sweet deck because you get to cast all your removal spells twice, and pretty much obliterate most threats while continuing to plow on with yours.

Seems like an easy Glen Elendra Archmage, with Glacial Ray a reasonable second?

    Vote: Glen Elendra Archmage.
