All I have to say is: Superman even Prime is:
Quote from from the Superman-Prime site »

His only vulnerabilities were the radioactive mineral Kryptonite and a susceptibility to magical influence.

Bolded and underlined the important part. Urza is a being of pure magical power. Urza can just firebolt the life out of Superman and he won't be able to do anything.

We have unknown information about the arachnids too. Since they didn't come from Mars (they invaded Mars), we don't know how many other worlds/galaxies they have conquered thus far. We don't know what other races they have won over, and we don't know their numbers either (quite a lot I assume since bugs reproduce fast). It wouldn't surprise me if somewhere out there the bugs conquered an alien race far more advanced than humans or skynet and got a hold of some sort of time transport. Of course I am using the arachnids from the book since the movie ones are just portrayed as brutes when they are not.

Yeah Skynet can use time travel and alter future. But there is a limit on how much he can alter. Sure he send a droid back in time to warn him about the arachnids, and their first attack totally gets pushed back by terminators, the arachnids will just send more. Point made: Skynet has no chance to mass create terminators to match the arachnids numbers.

Even if skynet is able to space travel, the arachnids will just find him and destroy him. If they took Mars I would assume they have colonies over various galaxies, he can't hide forever.

Also what is skynet going to do when the arachnids say F*** the Earth and send an ice worm the size of an asteroid? (Ice worms penetrate the core of a world and destroy it from the inside.)

I would have to agree that in this scenario the Arachnids have a better chance of winning. Skynet though being really smart and intelligent x100 has:
    1) Been caught by surprise.
    2) Never encountered a species like these things.

Edit: Slipped and clicked post instead of advanced.

    a) So it doesn't know how they work.
    b) It doesn't know how they react.
    c) It doesn't know jack about them.

So it will take time for Skynet to form a countermeasure, but he doesn't have the time needed since he will be swarmed by them. In the book Arachnids are intelligent too, having spacecraft, beam weapons and having knowledge from different worlds. Who knows maybe they have encountered a being equal to skynet in intelligence and drained their knowledge.
Even if they were brutes they still have more numbers than that of skynet's army. Worse comes to worse if skynet is somehow able to fight back the swarm, then the arachnids can just send an ice worm and let it consume the earth from the inside.

Seriously, I have a friend who is devout to Superman, so he has most if not all the comics of this guy. He has lent me quite a share to read, and from what I have read Superman is invincible. You may ask why?

Cause everytime he is about to die, be defeated, he gains a new mysterious super power which he didn't know about and overcame the obstacle in front of him. Yes he died a couple times, but in the end he still somehow came back and overcame the obstacle. This has happened countless times. Superman is the truly an imba super hero period.
Even in the movie he lifted an island made of kryptonite without 1. Dying or 2. Being too weakened to even lift it.

Superman ALL THE WAY. He always gets new super powers whenever he needs them, even though he didn't know about it. Even though I really like Vegeta, Superman is just superior.

  • posted a message on Megaman Vs. Marv Vs. Mace Vs. Solo
Well, the real question here is if Solo is in his ship already. Cause if the other guys see solo dashing towards the falcon, they would probably try to stop him before he arrives at the falcon.

This is a possible scenario too:

Before the falcon is able to take off, megaman uses his wall climbing capabilities to board on top of it. Mace uses force jump to also get on top of it. Marv barely manages to get a grip onto the falcon and starts a slow ascend. Now knowing that the ship will take off soon, they each make their own entrance into the ship. At this point there is only one conclusion Solo will not survive the battle inside the falcon.

This is really a tough call. It seriously is like playing rock/paper/scissors.

In the end I will go with Megaman. He will charge shot the falcon out of existance, so solo doesn't get his ridiculous advantage anymore. Doubt Windu can deflect a charged shot, but it might be possible. Marv can take a charged shot to the chest and survive, but as long as he can't touch Megaman dashing indefinitely he will just take a pounding of charged shots until he is no more.

If Windu is able to reflect a charged shot then Megaman will take Zero's saber, and sooner or later bring out the sho-ryu-ken and end the fight.

I need some clarification on this. So, there is a chance they can get the wrong damsel? I would believe so since there are two of them, but just wanted to make sure.

Good enough, I don't have any objections. My mistake on assuming iridescent = bad news.

I assume because they're one of the few Mavericks able to survive around 10 shots from X.

That, and it's not as though it's a Pokemon battle. It's not like here's X, I'm going to take a select few to defeat him. Part of being a Maverick Hunter means that both sides are fighting a total war with the other. The reason these fights occur is because X is going to the enemy.

The reason for the select few is that they are working on a Master Evil Plan from either Wily or Sigma to destroy/control the world and they are the best Mavericks fit for their individual jobs. So, Megaman/X has to stop them. These "Mavericks" we are talking about were Hunters created by Dr. Cain before. They were to be under Sigma to hunt Reploids gone bad (Mavericks). And as a genius that Dr. Cain is I am pretty sure that he knew what he was doing when creating those robots.

True this is not pokemon, and as silly as their names, looks and attacks are, I fail to see how these Mavericks are not dangerous.

Bubbles generally burst in contact with any surface. It's part of what makes them bubbles.

True, bubbles burst upon contact with anything. But you failed to mention the little thingies inside each bubble. That upon the bubble bursting those missiles/torpedoes/explosives/etc. inside the bubbles fly toward Megaman's face.

It's called the Bubble Splash. It's used by Bubble Crab. The weapon takes the form of several pockets of air surrounded by a very thin film with an iridescent surface that can float in water.

    ... And you don't think they're bubbles?

Bolded the important stuff. Iridescent... Since when is a normal bubble iridescent?
Don't you find it rather strange that it is? Maybe it was radioactive! OMG

Those robots were in the game for a reason. I mean why would Willy/Sigma/[Insert bad guy here] use them if they didn't have a reason. Has it ever occured to you that they might be strong in their own world? We really don't know, but those bubbles may be electrified/radioactive/[insert something damaging to a robot here]. And the fact that those bubbles are almost the size of megaman himself, explode upon contact with Megaman and any surface should also say something about those so called bubbles.

1- Electro Magnetic forces can be generated by tons of mundane things, the Fusion reactor on his armor awell if we are on a desert

2- He fights magnet man, not EMP blast man or nuclear bomb man

3-What concievable way could an electronic machine survive an electromagnetic surge with out being seriously damaged, unless Im wrong Data still would die from EMP the machines in the Matrix die from it

    1. He has fought in a desert countless times, he has fought in snow countless times, he has fought inside a volcano countless times (worse than a desert), he has fought in any extreme areas countless times. You name it, and through all those countless times of fighting through countless enemies shooting at him. Not once did his fusion reactor went berserk and caused an EMP reaction.

    2. Magnets still damage electronics, and magnet man was a HUGE magnet, do we see Megaman affected? No.
If you want more evidence from Megaman X1 - Spark Mandril. Fought inside an Electromagnetic Power Plant in which the mandril's weapon of choice is an Electromagnetic Spark Shot. Was Megaman affected? Only 2-3 ticks of damage. Nuff said.

    3. For some reason it is in the future. Future is uncertain, they may have developed an anti-EMP system who knows. Also think about this: "If all the enemies in Megaman are robots why not just shoot them down with EMP? What is the purpose of making Megaman in the first place?" Well apparently EMP does not affect them, thus Megaman was needed.

Edit: Almost forgot Megaman has the Giga Crush/Nova Strike move. While it may not defeat Master Chief in one hit, it will still damage him considerably. Plus if Mega has the Ultimate armor he can use it indefinitely thus nullifying all ranged weapons used against him, since the ammo will just disintegrate before touching him.
