...and besides, who says this guy has to fit zombies. it could be another deck altogether. zombies being aggro, this guy could work for MBC. it could be a different archetype altogether.
everyone is saying that this guy could possibly take the Phyrexian Obliteratorspot. but, what it's not meant for this type a deck. what if it's for another one. we have no idea what the rest of the set has or what m13 or return to ravnica will have. this guy can be something different entirely.
...or you could main deck torpor orb. the demonord comes into play and you don't sac any creatures. you still get the undyng, but you don't have to sac anything.
actually, with no +1/+1 counters coming in, the demonlord keeps coming back.
i think we're looking at him wrong. the orb gives this guy possibilities. we might not need saccable creatures, we just need a way to get over that part of the card. the orb does that.
i know the titans have been rumored of coming back, and we know Inferno Titan is, but I don't see Grave Titan coming back. If you look at the spoiler that is now linked where Commander used to be, and go to the black section, Grave Digger is number 99. The next card listed beside it is Hideous Visage which is number 100.
If you go by those numbers, Grave Titan won't fit. Alphabetically, it would be right after Grave Digger which is only shown to be followed by Hideous Visage.
I don't know if that is solid proof, but that is something to be aware of.
Coincidentally, I do find it weird, because with zombie infestation in the set, Grave Titan would've worked great for a somewhat tribal situation.
the deck works. i know act of treason usually is replaced by mark of mutiny, but i just too lazy to do that when i actually built the deck lol. and i think we're currently in a meta where mding artifact destruction isn't too wrong of an idea. plus i think grim discovery is a good idea to use if you need techtonic edge or terramorphic expanse again. im too broke to get any fetches at the moment.
my meta at the moment is either WWQuest, UW Control, GW Allies, or UW Artifact. so my deck is mainly built for these archetypes.
Thanks for all the replies. But after reading your responses, I have two more questions. Unstable Footing works because it doesn't target. What about Leyline of Punishment? It does read that damage can't be prevented.
Hi. I was hoping you could help me answer a problem.
I play Big Red at my FNMs, and the big problem for me is when I face WWQuest. I largly loose the first round. Then we come to sideboarding. My opponent plays Kor Firewalker. And gets it out with ease.
Now, here's my problem. I know Unstable Footing can help here. I just don't understand how. So, if I attak with Goblin Guide, and he blocks with the Firewalker, I cast Unstable Footing and my damage goes through? Does the Firewalker die?
Also, what's the difference in protection from red and spells that read...'can't be prevented.' Ie, Combust. Thanks for the help.
i'm actually working on a MonoBlack version. Well, a little white for salvage scout But the idea is to both use Sorin Marcov and mindslaver as a deck with 8 mindslavers.
we can even use skinrender to restock this guy. Sure, I'll give him 3 more -1/-1 counters to wipe your field. With Skinrender,THEN you can kill Baneslayer.
^^^
yeah, you're probably right. But I just found the idea amazing. They can obviously do a turn 3 Jace TMS. Then again, we could hit back with a turn 3/4 Sorin.
I was thinking just recently when something hit me. Namely Semblance Anvil. One of the reasons why not many of the BR plainswalkers were rarely played was because they were too expensive to cast. But with the anvil, they all become cc of 3 or 4. Which I think is highly great if can be pulled off.
All of the walkers (haven't really thought of Koth) work together. Sorrin can turn you're opponent at 10 obviously. Sharkhan can make 5/5 dragons. Lilliana can tutor up you're next walker. Even Lilliana can help Sarkhan draws. We can even cast mindslaver itself to help ramp up walkers too. With Sorrin, Chandra can do the final 10 blow as well.
I don't know a deck list right night, but I think this idea has potential.
Basically, WGU is a highly sought out deck. But with the Anvil, I think RB can get its turn.
Hi. I just saw the newest ep of the magic show over at youtube, and what Even Erwin said about memorcide and vengevine makes sense. Today, I opened a foil vengevine and the store owner offered me half a box of scars of mirrodin for it. I wanted to keep it from the original pack opening and he wanted it. i told him no, but then i saw Evan's video and now i'm questioning the offer the store owner gave me.
im a black/red player at heart with sometimes being green. should i sell the card now or keep it?
I'm pretty sure you don't play back to basics(might want to fix that ). Have you thought of using green perma ramp instead of the rituals such as cultivate. I might also suggest a white splash just for Stoneforge Mystic so you can have a virtual eight collars to make sure your creatures are outfitted.
Thanks for the head's up, I already editted it in the previous post. I thought about Mystic too, I'll have to consider it.
As for cultivate, it was in the original build, but cut it when i saw i had enough ramp in the BOP, Red Ritual, and awakening zone.

its been confirmed that ghost quarter is in innistrad. so, it will keep nexus in check.

but ive ran this deck two fnms now and won both.
Also, with Unstable Footing, if I cast pyroclasm after I cast the Footing, would it hit the Kor Firewalker?
Thanks for the help.
