almost all these cards work GREAT with wort if the game goes long. Fodder launch, nameless inversion, redcap, even siege-gang commander. if this deck is intended for any multiplayer action, adding 3x Wort, Boggart Auntie will give the deck needed staying power.
you can also use Metalworker with voltaic construct to similar effect. i have a deck that uses those two to power out darksteel forge and nevinyrral's disk. of course, that's not as effecient as something like staff of domination, but it's waaaay more fun, and it gives the opponents one turn to kill you before you really go off.
great deck! it reminds me of earlier better times in magic. btw, if you're already playing 4x savanah, why not toss in a sol ring and a balance just for kicks?
my demigod deck is black / blue - all lands produce black mana but many make blue too - and runs Intuition, pitching two demigods and keeping one. it also runs volrath's stronghold for when those three get taken care of (i play mostly large multiplayer chaos, so they need to go for the long game).
my group just uses the vintage banned / restricted list for casual deck building. it'a actually really important in my group because there are already a ton of decks with library of alexandria, sol ring, demonic tutor, yawgmoth's will, moxes, etc. - and it's really good that only one of each of those cards shows up in a given deck.
it'a hard enough to win a six player game with three of your opponents drop first turn libraries....
this looks to me like a black weenie deck, so i'd try to shore up the plan of getting a nice swarm of weenies and killing with them fast and hard. To do this, add some Duress or Thoughtseize. these will get the wraths and pyroclasms out of your opponents hand to allow your swarm to kill. Also get rid of serrated arrows as it's a slow card, replace with diabolic edict or slaughter pact or something. quick spot removal will keep the enemy board clear for your guys. And then replace the Mourning Thurlls with Nantuko Shade - a much better and more efficient threat. Also, consider Phyrexian Negator. he's a rockin one drop off dark ritual on the play with spot removal waiting to back him up.
i've got a pretty rockin gargadon / Preacher deck. they usually just kill the preacher, but that's what mother of runes and devoted caretaker are for. i also have a brion stoutarm / preacher deck, which really never works, but the idea of converting their creatures to your team and then throwing them back at the opponent is too sweet not to try.
the easiest solution here is to build tribal. pick an under-supported tribe: beasts, rats, snakes, cats, clerics, dragons, whatever - and go nuts. even if you include your library of alexandria or whatever, if you're playing a dragon deck then their MBC deck will still have a chance. tribal is a really good linear starting point for building a casual deck if you're uninspired.
OR pick a weird card to base your deck around. use Chisei, Heart of Oceans or Hostility or something and force yourself to make a deck in which that card is the best card you can draw. decks like this are always sweet because if you lose, hey it's a Chisei, Heart of Oceans deck, no one can blame you for losing with that. but if you win, it's super awesome, cuz, it's a Chisei, Heart of Oceans deck!
I am still a bit worried about the bramblewood & Drove of elves as I don't really have that many elves in the deck but I am hopefully going to purchase some Imperious Perfect to spice up the token cards. Once I get these cards then I will probably drop the drove of elves to 2x as well. I will replace the devoted druid with llanowar elves when I can get some also.I hope I am going down the right path. Anymore critique for my deck for improvement?
EDIT: I have 4 x llanowars coming in the mail and 4 x imperious perfect. So they will replace devoted druid and wolf shaman. I will update my deck once I actually get the cards. I was thinking about getting another kitchen but they are going for a hefty price at the moment. Do you think it is worth getting another kitchen?
i'm not sure about which theme deck to try, but probably a red one. maybe start with the 10th ed theme deck, and add 4 pyroclasm (an uncommon) and 4 firespout (also uncommon). both pyroclasm and firespout are cheap cards that you will get A LOT of use out of over the years, and are worth picking up if you've just started.
it seems to me that this card is about buying time, catching your opponent off guard and delaying him for a turn. this card should therefore be good in an aggroish deck, right? what about a black shadow weenie deck or something, where you get an early tempo advantage and then play the suppress right before they were planning to play their pyroclasm or whatever to stop your hoards?
also, your land enchantments all need to go. consecrate land is NOT a good card - it just used to be, like, in 1995. along with Pyramids. but there're way better things to play now. and the Genjus aren't great either, because you'll want your creatures to hang around after you play armageddon, not die to it.
what about adding adding some Mind Stones and some Magus of the Tabernacle? then when you geddon, your opponent won't be able to pay for his creatures and they all die too, but yours live 'cuz of your artifact mana.
don't like anything. will we play uyo? not really. form? nope. I mean, we could get an early signet / talisman / lotus / titan with workshop, but that's not worth it either i don't think.
i guess my pick is to hate workshop, in case someone's got a rockin artifact build and figured they could wheel it.

and yeah, add necropotence, yawgmoth's will, demonic tutor, vampiric tutor, etc.

Overall this looks great, but I'm not sure what the Bramblewood Paragons are doing for you right now. the only other warrior in your deck is 2x Rhys, and so the paragons seems unnecessary. In their place you can put any number of awesome elfs. standard legal: Jagged-Scar Archers, Elvish Harbinger, Masked Admirers, Wren's Run Packmaster (also great with wolf-scull shaman), Wren's Run Vanquisher. the best elves are older: Priest of Titania (!!!!), Wellwisher, Eladamri, Lord of Leaves, etc.
Also, it wouldn't hurt to squeeze in Harmonize.
Welcome to magic, and good luck with the elves!
at least it could be a dramatic application...
in blue: Propaganda, Evacuation, Wash out.
