How do the core sets rotate now in standard? On the MTG website it seems like standard will have 2 core sets, M11 and M12 when M12 comes in. Is that correct? Will M11 rotate out when M12 comes in or no?
Tempered Steel doesn't have as many sideboard options as other decks. I'd recommend adding a 4th hero of bladehold and leonin relic-warder in the deck. Some builds also add mirran crusader to the side against dismember and artifact hate.
Against the koth deck, the Hero of Bladehold rocks, because they can't really deal with him. But truthfully, Tempered Steel doesn't really have a good matchup unless you get off to a really fast start.
The other decks you listed, tempered steel blows them away. Mono B infect in particular has no ways to really deal with your threats apart from Ratchet Bomb and Black Sun's Zenith, which also kills their own stuff. And the venser control deck is just too slow to match it.
Sometimes I am unable to stop on my opponents upkeep even if i mark it. Basically however I started the game (like if it doesn't stop on opponents upkeep, it will continue to not stop even after I tell it to), that's how it does it throughout the game, is there a way to fix this?
After some time playing with the deck and even building a dedicated sb to Tempered Steel, I have found that matchup to be 40-60 at best. If you can stall til turn 5 and then blow them out with BSZ its a win, otherwise that matchup is impossible. I still would take my chances with UB Control because the matchups against the rest of the field, maybe besides B infect, are quite winnable.
Looking at the top decks every day, tempered steel is dominating, which is why I'm wary of playing the UB deck. I'm wondering though, what decks are bad matchups for tempered steel?
I had viridian emissary at the beginning, but ended up taking him out. You think he would do well against Tempered steel? The problem I feel like I have against that deck is the fliers (esp signal pest), not the memnites.
I think 4 dauntless escort is necessary for every G/W deck since it's good against Jund and good for setting up the martial coup against the mirror matchup (also good against opposing Martial coups). Setting the Elspeth count to 4 seems good especially for mirrors.
I don't much like mycoid shepherd or knotvine paladin, but if I had to choose I'd probably take the shepherd since knotvine paladin just makes another creature that does to Infest and Volcanic Fallout.
I think the lapse of certainty might be for the 5-color control matchup? Saving them in your hand against cruel ultimatum would help you get another turn that perhaps can help you win the game?

Also how does this deck beat tempered steel? It looks like BSZ is the only way.
