I wasn't posting here or playing magic when I was 15 but looking back the most important piece of advice I can give is to enjoy it. I know its been beaten to death, but I wish I tried to just enjoy everything when I was in high school.
In a vacuum, I like Sorin better than Nissa. I assume you are making a type 2 deck? If so, then I'd go with Sorin. If its casual, I think Nissa would be better.
I'm not leaving Team Hip Breakers hanging at all. I'm not building a cube because a friend of mine already has one. I'll probably sometimes play EDH because people around here play that. The problem for me is that I'll have difficulty playing for fun through my inner spike. Its got a hold on me. I thought about drafting every once in a while, but it doesn't sound appealing. Magic used to excite me. It's lost that effect.
Not to say that you won't follow through with quitting but with my own experience and the experience I have with others is that no one ever really quits playing magic...they always come back at some point.
You'll get that itch to play a game...check up on the newest cards/sets/decks and BAM...back into magic. It happens just oh so often. So I guess what I am trying to say is, don't get rid of your cards. Odds are you will be back :sneakybread:.
I know. I've seen this happen to others as well. I guess what I mean is that I'll be out for now. I don't know what to do with my cards though. I guess I'll let them chill in my room.
I know that the mana base for 5c is expensive but I want to play Scion so bad because I just love dragons. But how much would it cost?
Its up to you how good you want it to be. If you want it to be legit, you are going to need both the Onslaught and Zendikar fetches, original and Ravnica duals, Reflecting pool and Vivid and a few other good nonbasic lands from the game and a few basics so you can play terramorphic expanse and the option of getting a basic from a fetch. Its up to you how much you want to spend.
Scion is good if you spend enough money on the mana base. You kind of have to get the good lands from across magic to make 5c work. I like Oros' colors but I'm not a fan of the card itself. Hidetsugu is my least favorite of the three. The card seems weak and I'm not so sure about mono red when the life totals start at 40.
Isn't Banefire better than Earthquake in that deck? I guess you have no creatures that stick around to party so the clasm effect might be useful. Isn't it just as detrimental in the mirror though? I'd expect to see more RDW than any other deck right now.
Rostam just stared at Samuel in disbelief. Bulbasaur would have lost if the match continued. Rostam withdrew Bulbasaur back into the pokeball. "Thanks." Rostam just stood there, thinking. He was very proud of Bulbasaur; she fought a very good battle. He realized how much work was ahead of the two of them.
Just popping in to say hi. Sorry I haven't been posting lately. I'm deciding whether or not I should go to a sealed PTQ on Saturday. I probably wont and just spend the day studying. I'm kind of behind on schoolwork.
Bulbasaur took the hit and fell backwards hard. She struggled to get back up to her feet as she was breathing very heavily. It was very obvious that the last attack did a lot of damage. "C'mon Bulbasaur, hang in there! Tackle it!" With a deep breath Bulbasaur charged at the Meditie, putting every last bit of energy into the attack.

The only reason White isn't dead to me is because of cards like Wrath of God, Day of Judgement, Swords to Plowshares, Circle of Protection: Red.
My list is the same as everyone else's.
1. Blue
2. Black
3. Red
4. White
5. Tarmogoyf
