I went 3-1 at a 23 person FNM.

Round 1 vs. Burn. Won the die roll. Comboed out on turn 3 to win after some Goblin Guides and a Swiftspear pecked away at me. In the next game, I draw land after land. Despite getting a Kitchen Finks, he gets there since I didn't draw much else and Searing Blaze got another creature. In the final game, I think I made a punt. I knew he had Skullcrack from an early Tidehollow Sculler. I couldn't go for a Chord for Kitchen Finks because he can Skullcrack in response and I'll have to pay 1 life for Horizon Canopy to Chord. So, I Chord for Scavenging Ooze, planning on untapping and gaining 2 life. He does Lightning Bolt to the Ooze and I can't gain life because Horizon Canopy will be net 0 life. If I had Chorded for Tidehollow Sculler, I would have been able to take the Bolt or Skullcrack, then his drawing Path to Exile couldn't have gotten my Vizier out of the way to swing for lethal with a Skullcrack to kill me. Was kind of hoping he'd draw air, but he found his 3rd Bolt and Path to Exile on consecutive turns. Not completely sure if the Tidehollow Sculler was the right option, but it would have won me the game. 1-2.

Round 2 vs. Jund. In the first game, I have Kitchen Finks and Viscera Seer. I Collected Company, hoping to end it with Vizier of Remedies. Got BoP and another Kitchen Finks instead. I flood out and he gets enough Terminate and Bloodbraid Elves to get me in time. In the next game, it is similar, but I top deck Devoted Druid, play it AND Chord of Calling for 0 since Grafdigger's Cage is in play. It flips my Duskwatch Recruiter back so if I untap next turn, I get to go infinite. He plays Bloodbraid Elf into discard, not getting anything. I survive at 1 life, then get infinite mana into all my Green creatures in play. Even though it's only 1-1 and he can still get 3-1, he scoops to play with his friends. Odd, the way I drew, I feel like the match could easily have gone his way. 2-1.

Round 3 vs. Eldrazi Aggro. He mulls to 4 and I do turns 2-3 Tidehollow Scullers, taking 2 Thought-Knot Seer. He can't recover. He mulls to 6 in the next one and has good pressure while my 2 lander doesn't pan out. He Gut Shot me for lethal. In the final game, he mulls to 4 again. I do Tidehollow Sculler to see SSG and double Thought-Knot Seer when he has 2 Ghost Quarter in play. I take the SSG and he doesn't find Eldrazi Temple, which gives me time to get there. 2-1.

Round 4 vs. Jund. He scoops to me. He didn't want to take a chance that he would get sick. He was the friend of the Round 2 guy. This guy also was the first player on Grixis (Twin) to beat me when I ran Grishoalbrand back int he days in a cash tournament. I told him a Judge could shuffle each time, but he didn't want to go through the trouble. He was a cool guy. He made sure I didn't feel offended, which I didn't. I understand not wanting to get sick if you're a bit susceptible. Interesting win, but I'll take it! 2-0.

3-1, not bad. Been getting some winning streaks going after 2-2ing for the past Feb. and Jan. pretty much.
