I'm going to throw out a wild idea that I'm sure will be unpopular.

What if WOTC does a reimagining of the Dominaria storyline from scratch. This would allow them to revisit the entire storyline from the beginning and avoid the brokenness and overpowerfulness that was contained therein. Because it's going to have a lot of reprints inherent in the set, they could cut out the core set or use it to speed up the storyline. Because it's reimagined, they can also print new cards and condense the storyline so that it's shorter and more manageable.

It's not 1/720. It's actually much more than that. It's a 1/720 chance in picking up one of these treasures, but to pick up a specific treasure, it's significantly less than that. We know that there are at least 90 treasures. So your chance of picking up a Taiga is actually at least 1/64800, if not worse. Someone, please, double check my math (720 x 90, right?.

Then keep your cards in a humidity controlled room. Stop hating

Those don't exist in here Florida. Try as hard as you might with a humidifier, but you'll still fail.

I can't comment on the 'Fifth Dawn Artifact Revamp' because I don't have a clue what it is despite playing during Mirrodin block. Whatever it is, someone almost certainly complained about it, though.

The 5D revamp was in response to players complaining about that the new (8th edition) border for white and artifact were too similarly colored, so the artifact one was slightly changed to be less white looking.

If they were all playable, that would be the craziest standard ever.

    Imagine:

You win if you have 50 or more life.
You win if you have 20 or more cards in hand.
You win if you control 10 or more enchantments.
You win after a set number of turns.
You win if your opponent controls no permanents.

All played together in the same format.

You win if you have 5 permanents in play with alternate win conditions Grin

Where did you see this interview? I'm really looking forward to an Un3, so I want proof before I start believing this.

Instead of Chicken v. Donkey, why not just expand that to Unglued v. Unhinged. Lots of pretty land.

I wish WotC would cement their ideas about where the game is going, how rotations and sets will be released, and stick with it.

Agreed! As much as I like change, it's nice knowing what to expect too. Right now the only thing that I can think of that holds true is that there are 5 colors in Magic. The color pie shifts/evolves, we've got rumors of different terminology, tournament stuff keeps changing (not that that ever affected me since I'm a casual player), changing set sizes, different planes, new card types and rarities, etc. I'd like to wake up and have some consistency going on. I'm starting to get fed up with the sheer amount of changes. If I remember correctly, at the start of last year, MaRo said that they were going to be doing a lot of stuff to try and get new players (I don't remember what he said about keeping old players), and it seems that since then, between every set we've had major changes. The year ended on December 31, let's get back to some normality. (The only abnormal thing I'm looking forward to hearing in the near future is an announcement that we're getting Unglued 3.)

I really hope the expansion symbol will be different enough between M10 and M11 and the rest. It's irritating to sort through stacks of mixed 8th and 9th edition cards (thankfully I haven't done that in a long while), and I don't want to do anything similar to that again.

It is more important that the product feel newer longer than for it to be accurate for six months and then seem outdated immediately thereafter. Trust me, you'll get used to it.

How does putting the date make it feel less dated? If I buy 10th edition, I don't know how old it is. If I buy 2010, I know exactly when it's from, and how old it is and even if I don't know the release schedules, I know that it's going to be outdated in a year.

I'm mixed about the idea for the new Editions. I think it's important to be able to get hold of older cards that are still worthwhile, but at the same time, the vast majority of the common and uncommons, and even some rares, are just not worth my time and if they cut out all of the crap, then the sets would either be too small to be worth printing or overpowered, if not both. I'm happy that they're doing something about the overload of lame cards in editions, I just think that 50% new cards is a bit much. Hopefully I'll change my mind in 2010. I am very happy that they're finally making some cards just because they're worth making and not waiting for the right set to come. This also probably means we'll be seeing a lot more reprints in Expansions. I was just hoping that in 2012 we'd see random set 4 be "Hey look, we have a ton of cards that we never printed but are good, here you go." (2012 because 2010 is meant to be Unglued 3 and 2011 was always going to be an edition anyway.)

I will definitely miss not having Unglued 3.

Of course they do. They need to convince you that the set is worth buying.
