I fell in love with Narset, Enlightened Master the moment her card was revealed and I'm currently cobbling together a casual deck utilizing her. Of course, in order to get her to work like you want her to, she has to swing and it's a nice bonus if she lives to do it again, which is problematic if your opponent is playing with creatures with more than three toughness.

Here's what I have so far to enable that:

I don't want to use Whispersilk Cloak because Shroud does me no favors.

    Anything else worth using?

    October CCL Top Finals

We've explored several aspects of fear here. But what's the most horrifying thing a lot of you can imagine? The end of everything they hold dear, everything they know and love gone in an instant. (Either that or flaming clown spiders, but that wouldn't be a very interesting challenge.)

That's right, it's time for a good old-fashioned apocalypse. And you'll be telling the story of it in a series of five cards.

First card: A sorcery card depicting some kind of apocalyptic event.
Second card: A creature card depicting a survivor of the apocalypse.
Third card: A card depicting one of the dangers of the post-apocalyptic world.
Fourth card: A land card depicting some kind of safe haven or survivor's stronghold.
Fifth card: A mythic rare card depicting something that gives the survivors hope for the future.

The finalists are NVRBLND and Moss_Elemental.

The deadline for this round will be Monday, November 10th 23:59 EST. When both participants have finalized their entry, a poll will go up either that evening or the next morning.

And on a personal note, I'd like to extend a big thank-you to everyone who participated in my first ever CCL. And now, get creatin'!

For the record, I was going to make my entry a dual-faced card, but then I remembered that legendary dual-faced cards don't really work because of how the Legend rule works. This is the reason why we got Huntmaster of the Fells instead of a Legendary werewolf. And the challenge did specify making a Legendary creature.

I'm not going to dispute anyone's rulings, but I just wanted to throw that out there. Smile

Jimmy Groove: Seems pretty cool. Interesting abilities.

NVRBLND: Not sure he counts as mythological, but I'll allow it. Smile Good flavor.

IcariiFA: Oooh, very nice. Great card, good flavor text.

Aftermarketradio: That sounds more like the name of a Yu-Gi-Oh card, but I won't hold that against you. Wink Not sure I like a permanent reanimator spell in red, though.

Doombringer: Seems like kind of a rules nightmare, but interesting all the same.

Inktreader: Simple and solid. I like it.

    Top 3:

    1. IcariiFA
    2. Ink-Treader
    3. Jimmy Groove
