    Just want to point out that you can't play Gauntlets of Light if you intend to play Zirda as a companion, as it does not have an activated ability.

    The judge should NEVER side with the dillhole in this situation. The tournament rules for Meddling Mage, Pithing Needle, etc. only require that you uniquely identify the card. You could say "That 8 mana colorless Planeswalker", and that would be enough for your needle to turn off Ugin, the Spirit Dragon. The rules also follow format legality, so naming Thassa with a card in standard would automatically assume Thassa, Deep-Dwelling.

    OT: I'm fine with it, though I hope that the Godzilla cards are an exception rather than the norm. I mean, I still want them, but having the alternate name be in larger print than the card's actual name is kind of stupid.

    So... your approach to make magic more friendly to casuals is to remove almost every point of interaction?
    1/2. This change would disproportionately help decks that only want one or two land in a game. Goblin Charbelcher decks already get away with running like... 2 lands, and your change completely eliminates that. A burn deck is guaranteed to always hit 3 land, then draw nothing but gas the rest of the game. I could go on...
    3/4/5. I don't know why this would need to be a hard/fast rule. Casual is a social contract, you shouldn't need to formally tell people to not be a jerk if the group finds the play style frustrating.
    6/7/8/9. That is... basically all the removal options outside of destroy/damage. I get the distinct impression that you're still pretty new to the game, but I can assure you that removing all of the means to stop combo is NOT going to help make your format more casual.

    If you're looking for some casual formats, I'd recommend Type 4 or Horde. They address most of the complaints you seem to have while NOT breaking the game.

    Everyone whinging about fetches not being in a standard legal set better buckle up, because that ain't changing any time soon. WotC explicitly DOES NOT want fetches + shocks in Pioneer, meaning any reprints are going to be in supplemental sets.
    As far as the Secret Lair itself is concerned, I'll finally accept THIS as proof they care about the secondary market. Prior examples people were holding up COULD have been attributed to the printed rarity of the cards, despite what many people here seemed to believe. This is 5 rares, so that's officially dead. That being said, I don't consider opting to NOT cause the secondary market to collapse in on itself to be a bad thing. They're prioritizing maintaining customers over replacing them.

    1/121 as opposed to... They follow normal rarity distribution right? so 1/15 foils is a rare, and 1/3 packs has a foil, or 1/45 packs. For a SPECIFIC rare, you've got ~50+ rares/set so...1/2250? These are over 18 times more common than regular foils, it might not shift the price of normal ones, but the foil prices will take a POUNDING.

    I think I might test it out, as it seems like the best ritual for this deck. It not only sets us ahead on mana in the early part of the combo turn, but likely generates larger volumes of mana later on in the combo turn, due to us Ghost Quartering ourselves. In addition to this, it "resets" as many lands as we could want, which is one of the reasons I tried out Edge of Autumn to begin with.

    Early on in the combo you aren't likely to have many extra land to throw into seism, seeing as it costs 2, and you (ideally) will have a Ghost Quarter, which shouldn't be fed to it, and late in the combo you won't need it. Greater Gargadon costs one less (and that can be paid BEFORE the combo turn), can be used for multiple iterations of the loop, and leaves you with a 9/7 hasty plan b.

    Have we seen any allied color fixing in the set? This is the second cycle of enemy colored fixing. I'm pretty sure we aren't getting CipT allied snow lands at common, because those already exist. Snow storage lands would be spicy. Maybe the visions CipT fetches?

    It's got protection from two of the most relevant colors for removal, of course the effects are going to be weaker. Light and Shadow is the only one that does a better job protecting, and it's effects definitely have a lower power ceiling to compensate.
