Hey everyone, I'm in Germany for a few months and I'm looking to compete in a local Prerelease for SOI. The one problem is, I don't really speak German haha All the product will be in German and most of the players will also speak almost exclusively German. I can memorize as much of the cards as I can, bring a visual spoiler with me to help out, but I've got a few questions.
- Anyone ever done something like this before? Any tips for playing against players who don't speak your language?
- Anyone on here speak German? How do I say important phrases like "pass the turn," "in response," "enter combat," etc Most things are pretty easily communicated without words, but what things should I KNOW how to say? I wanted to ask to make sure so I'm not using garbled Google Translate that doesn't actually mean what I want it to mean
- Anyone here from Hamburg Germany? I'll hopefully see you there!
Thanks guys! I think this will be a fun adventure! I just want to know as much as I can going in so I'm not a nuisance to the locals and so I can have as much fun on the day as possible too.
