Old women wear make-up. And lots of rings. They shouldn't.

    What should old women wear?

There was a massive fire which nearly destroyed the Rumor Mill.

Except this was posted a day later.

    Thumbs Down

I've been experiencing this kind of stuttering for the last few SCG's. Twitch is garbage.

I feel like that can be said without continuously saying, "Why does this bother you? It's not even a big deal, dudes!" Because it obviously is to some people, whether we think it should be or not, and expecting them to change their minds just because they're being told something more than once is kind of insulting.

My post is generalized, not putting words in your mouth.

This poor guy's experience of "good" wings is Buffalo Wild Wings? Man, if he had actually tried some good wings he would have become undone Smile

I feel like some of his observations are a bit off:

-I don't know how much time he spent on the Eastern Seaboard, but as a DC local, I don't think Americans in this part of the country are nearly as nice as they would be in Portland (which it seems is a place he spent a good deal of time).

-US beaches aren't as universally nice as he thinks, I imagine. Again, I'd think Portland/select spots on the West Coast are pretty awesome, but a lot of the East Coast is pretty meh, if you aren't in Maine or Florida. Based on my uninformed stereotypes of Australia, I would have thought their beaches would be pretty incredible.

He said something along the lines of, "Not all beaches are like the Jersey shore," acknowledging that the US does have some lousy coastlines as well.

I talked to the Curse techs again, checking on the account merger issue. They're going to start working on that on Monday.

Johnny, to address what you're saying, this wasn't a 'secretive' or 'backdoor' thing. It's part of their forum shell. It works a different way from vBulletin, given that it's a proprietary format, so it needs a specific account type to operate. Your account has been migrated. No more information has been collected (I say this as a person who likes to keep my personal life separate from online, so I had a double check myself). Nothing further has been 'made'.

It's not that we're blowing it off, it's that many of us don't see an issue in the first place. This was part of an automated import process done on a mass scale so that, when the time came and we transferred over, you'd have a minor amount of inconvenience to go through before you could post again.

I understand that you're annoyed and upset, which is why I'm trying to get some answers about how we can undo this or rectify this for people that don't want it. But you need to understand that I/we are not blowing you off. We simply don't see the act as horrible. Not horrible, not good, just a neutral thing. Like changing a password or updating an email.

Then allow me to apologize for coming across as threatening. That was not my intent in the first place. People were upset about the fact that accounts were created in their name, so I thought that removing those accounts was the best way to solve the problem for them. But knowing what I do about accounts and upgrades (too many MMOs and such to name), I predicted that doing so would remove access to this website for them and wanted to warn them of that ahead of time.

I do apologize for coming across as threatening. This was just me looking for the best way to help with a problem people were reporting.

How many times is the staff going to say it's not a big deal or they don't see the problem before realizing that the people who do have a problem with it aren't helped by that sentiment whatsoever? The staff is coming off as insensitive and rude by telling people "you shouldn't care." They do care, that's already been made known, it's time to accept that and stop trying to make people feel stupid for not liking what happened.

You don't see an issue in the first place. Okay? That doesn't make the issue go away.

It's so strange that you were trolling the other Poem thread but still found yourself needing to PM her. Kind of sad that you publicly outed yourself as bothering the first female member that you come across.

She is my friend and was disrespected by the Rumor Mill staff despite being a confirmed source of card spoilers. Ah well, their loss.

I'm mostly playing devil's advocate. As long as Curse doesn't send me emails then I will probably not fuss much.
