    Enchantment - Aura
    Enchant creature*
Return target creature from your graveyard to the battlefield and attach ~ to it.
Enchanted creature has Indestructible and is a Spirit in addition to its other types.
When ~ leaves the battlefield, sacrifice enchanted creature.

*I'm not entirely sure that the mechanics actually work for this card.

What's the cycle of Aether? From what I can tell it's tied to the colors of Magic, but that's about it. I'm guessing it came up during one of the panels, but not sure which one.

Inspire G, Innovate U, Build W, Reclaim B and err Liberate R (Was Synthesize at an earlier stage of development).

Kaladeshi artifice draws inspiration from nature which is in turn influenced on a planar scale by Aether. Blue takes that inspiration and iterates and develops upon it. White is basically the mass production aspect. Black reclaims Aether into the ecosystem (as death recycles organic material into the environment). Red... I don't really recall red's role exactly... sorry Red mages.

Kind of hoping Dovin will be Esper colors. Comes across as very cold and calculating and feels like he hits notes of all three Esper colors in the "Homesick" story.

Blue, obviously. White, yeah. But in what way does he seem black?

A lot of people seem to be speculating him as UB or WUB, and I just don't understand it. If someone could just explain why they think he's B, I could maybe come around to it. As is, I just can't see it.

Haroun, Warden of the Ramparts GWU
    Legendary Creature - Human Knight
    Exalted
    Walls you control have Exalted.
Whenever a Wall you control blocks another creature, ~ deals damage equal to its power to that creature.
    2/2

I went with Bant colors, because a quick Gatherer search shows that the majority of walls fit the shard's colors, then I went with a name that seemed like it would be contemporary with Rafiq. I added a liberal amount of exalted, because if there's one thing a wall deck probably needs, it's offensive power (plus Haroun literally translates as Exalted).

I'd like to see an emotion based R commander who uses emotions other than anger/rage/hate as a theme.

Isn't there an interplanar phyrexian ship chilling in Venser's workshop?

Venser was working on an interplanar ship, but died before he could complete it. I don't believe it's ever been mentioned what happened to it, or even how far along he was with the design/construction.

I would really like to see Baan in Azorius colors: we only have Venser, the Sojourner in those colors

    Narset Transcendent
Not only is she in those colours she's still in Standard (if only for another month). When was the last time we saw an UB planeswalker?... wait don't answer that I'll look it up. Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver in Theros. UB is 'more due' than UW is.

I agree that we are due for another Blue/Black Planeswalker, but at the same time I don't really get any Black feeling from Baan. He feels very White/Blue to me if we are assigning him a second color, though mono-Blue is fine too.

If Dovin Baan is the villain (and I strongly suspect he is, due to his reaction in the story when he heard Chandra's last name), then he is likely blue/black, or possibly Esper.
    Quote from Xeruh »
It's certainly possible he's the villain. But he could be a White/Blue villain. It's not like the Consulate seems to be an especially Black-aligned villain as a whole, it seems pretty standard Azorius.

There's definitely a Black gap, and probably a Green one unless they go with Nissa (which is the most likely answer but could surprise us), but I don't think Dovin is going to be it. I do think it's likely to be a dual-colored one though, not Mono. We had a pretty high average of Black in Innistrad, I imagine they'll want to keep it down here.

Indeed, there's no reason that Baan couldn't be the villain while still being WU.

He's an agent of an oppressive regime. He doesn't need to be selfish or ambitious (or any other black characteristic) to be the antagonist. In fact I would argue that would make him less interesting. Characters who do horrible things believing they're the right thing are far more intriguing than run of the mill power hungry asshats.

    Vitos, Stygian Warlord 5BR
    Legendary Creature - Demon
    Haste, Flying
Whenever an opponent is targeted for an instant or sorcery spell, Vitos, Stygian Warlord deals 1 damage to that opponent.
Whenever Vitos attacks, you may pay 2 life and exile target instant or sorcery in your graveyard that could target the defending player. Copy that card. That copy must choose the defending player as one of its targets if able.
    6/5

(Note how Vitos doesn't only damages when your spells target. Even an opponent targeting himself is still fair game. Intentional, as it opens a thin layer of multiplayer politics and stuff.)

Next: A Commander based on Chinese mythology. (Because Greek and Norse are too easy :p )

So, I had to google Chinese mythology, because I'm sad to say that the most I was familiar with was Journey to the West.... and Mulan. Slant

After some clicking around on Wikipedia, I give you a Dragon deck commander based off of the tale of Longmu.

    Longmu, Mother of Dragons 3RR
    Legendary Creature - Human Advisor
When ~ enters the battlefield, create five 1/1 red dragon creature tokens.
At the beginning of your upkeep put a +1/+1 counter on each dragon you control.
    1/3

Next up, a politician. That is, a commander geared towards playing your opponents against each other, or somehow rewarding other players for doing what you want them to. Who/what/when/where/why/how are entirely up to you.

I really don't see how anyone thinks he's red. He's cool and controlled, completely lacking in any emotional or chaotic elements that red is known for, and is an agent of a tightly controlled, ordered social and governmental system.

I also don't see him being black, from what we know about him. He doesn't seem particularly ambitious. More like he wants to fulfill his duties as efficiently and effectively as possible. It may turn out in future stories that he mas other motives/agendas/plans in play, but from what we know now, I just can't even begin to see B.

    He's U definitely, and UW possibly(probably).

what planeswalkers are from the "old kind"(immortal) and what are from the new one?

Even old walkers aren't immortal any longer. They lost that quality with The Mending. It's just that by this timeframe we're only likely to ever meet old walkers with extended lifespans not inherent to the oldwalker spark (as the others are likely all dead now).

Bolas and Ugin are dragons so their natural lifespan is thousands and thousands of years.
Karn is a robot. (Edit: Karn not Karen you damned autocorrect.)
    Sorin is a vampire.
Nahiri was trapped in stasis until very recently.
Lilianna made her demon deals to restore her youth.
Ob Nixilis... honestly I'm not sure about him, but it likely has to do with his demon form.

By this point we're unlikely to ever meet another former oldwalker with a standard human lifespan (unless there's some qualifier to explain it away).

This implies that Arlinn ever got meaningful screentime to begin with.

Do we actually have confirmation of that though? Yes the mondronen pack no longer exists, but that's not 100% indicative of Tovolar's fate unless outright stated to be.
